      I know right, I once accidentally grabbed something from the past years before Techmoan was supposed to buy it from eBay. When I returned to the present I found he had instead made a video about something completely different. I still miss that original Techmoan video.

    I also have love of the small machines...
    My favorite 2014 game alien isolation was ported to phone.
    It runs on s9 845 and up...
    That level will now be the expectation of arm users. 😊
    For that size/form factor.
    There are some youtube videos of a person playing it on a phone.
    This is what you are up against🤣
    Windows 11 on this old phone is dos box max...😋 (still good)
    Your videos are great...

    This project along with the Renegade Project (supports more modern snapdragon SOCs) is great to see. I have somewhat of an obsession with UMPCs and little laptops. The modern ones from GPD are still just a bit too big. I would like to put something together with a oneplus phone running windows and a little keyboard.

    • @JanusCycle
      @JanusCycle  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There always seems to be a trend follow up popular small devices with something more powerful and bigger. GPD have just made the new WIN Mini though. They are at least trying to make something smaller again.

    I wonder how well Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) runs on this? I would hope someone has produced an ARM-native WSA!
    Also, I suspect Microsoft efforts to support ARM might have something to do with the large number of Apple Mac users running Bootcamp and Windows on Apple hardware, and the recent move from Apple away from Intel to (ARM based) "Apple silicon".

    • @JanusCycle
      @JanusCycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      WSA does have an ARM native version and I was able to install it. However a Budgie found that the lack of proper UEFI support means it won't run :(

      I've got a mint condition LG V35 that every so often I get this urge to install Windows on before realizing that; A) I still enjoy using it as-is and I know I have just enough IT talent to break it without having enough to fix it, and B) according to Project Renegade it's one of the least supported 845 phones for Windows on ARM so the risk posed by "A" isn't going to be worth the payout. But, it'd be so cool if it did work reasonably well. I need to buy a shoddy second hand SD845 something for $30 or less from eBay so I won't feel too bad if I bork it.
