  • Finally the S3 gets lowered on Ground Control's adjustable springs. Great high quality kit and the car feels great. Very Good option to pair this suspension choice with OEM Magride struts. Check out their site! Also big shout out to LEXIVON for hooking it up with some tools that were absolutely needed. Check out their products for sale at my Amazon Store link below!

    Dude, I normally watch some of the work you do, but my parents have been gone for almost two decades. I’m over sixty years old, and did all of that in my garage here in Texas, before I had an Split A/C and heat unit installed. No we don’t have a rust issue here in Texas, but the unGodly heat will make you melt in place. My 2015 Audi S3 8v is now 500+hp beast, all work done by myself and a good friend with a complete car lift in his garage. Now I’m getting the tuning correct. Need new brakes and some better suspension components because she is very quick to snap out during hard cornering. It’s a blast to drive, but she spend most of her time in my climate controlled garage!!

      bro... i dont love magnetic ride.. been thinking about changing ti bilstein shocks.. but that would lower the value if i disable that fancy suspension. what say you?

      MARK! So tbh I feel the magride is hit or miss with people. I do personally enjoy just because as you know in certain modes you can easily feel the difference in stiffness steering feel etc. but I will say if you chose a coilover like billstein b16 and get the magride delete it would probably feel awesome and much sportier and better handling etc. if you ever sell the car just make sure to keep your stock struts in tact! Don’t mess with them plug them up like normal and it’s like nothing happened

    I’ve worked on these cars a lot and don’t get me wrong sometimes I need to pulled out the air tools and use an air hammer on the knuckle area to seperate the strut because it just won’t move even with gravity and a car on the lift. Don’t feel bad these front suspensions can be a pain. Don’t get me started on the gti where you need to pull the axle…

    • @DArias
      @DArias  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was awful but it’s whatever haha it got done! And yes the gti with the axle having to be removed def sucks lol

    Bro I wouldn’t touch the height. It will settle and it looks good as is. Put your wheels on soon let it be as is for now. Give it like 500 miles then tweak a bit

    • @DArias
      @DArias  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I explain my plan in my next video. I put on my wheels to Check fitment etc and I feel it’s good for now

    Wheels first then adjust. Car looks pretty good so far

  • @coreyzeynep9224
    @coreyzeynep9224 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I would leave the ride height. Once it settles some more it will probably sit perfect. You don’t want to be too low and rub and bottom out all the time. Car looks good

    • @DArias
      @DArias  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s what I’m gonna do I wanna put a few hundred miles on the suspension first to see if it needs any adjustments etc

      So far I really like the choice I made. I really have to recalibrate the magride and then ill know 100% how the act truly rides

    Those knuckles are the worst done feel bad bro lol. I’ve done a lot of work with these and have had to take off the entire hub axle etc to separate piece by piece because of the seizing

    • @DArias
      @DArias  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was awful lol.. dealt with them many times and never had such a seized assembly like my s3 and was it came out so much dirt and debris etc very nasty lol

    I was looking at h&r kit or kw. Would you recommend this over those?

    • @DArias
      @DArias  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I was looking at the kw as well but would leaned me more toward these is the fact that you can legit customize your spring rates heights etc to have the car exactly how you want it. For example I told GC I wanted to have the car feel relatively stock with the ability to go low and that’s exactly what they gave me

    Hey man, I recently got a set of gc springs for my rs3 and they recommend 6 inch springs in the front and 7 in the back but they seem so small, what lengths did you get for your car?

  • @benclark5261
    @benclark5261 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Any magride problems? Are you going to recalibrate?Apparently it is a good idea to do so

    • @DArias
      @DArias  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No issues so far. On super big bumps etc it does feel like the mag ride gets out of wack and the suspension bottoms out which I believe is the internal bump stop. Recalibrating for the new height should eliminate that feeling over the bigger bumps so I will get that done soon. Besides that the suspension feels fantastic
