This was with Tamiya reinforced (banded) slicks and hard foam inserts in the wheels. There was very little expansion when tested in the hand. Would think they should be good for maybe up to 60 or more. Quite sticky too, traction was fine!
It looks good, but a little strange at the same time with the enclosed wheels. I'm very lucky to have use of the race track, access is pre organised so I can be there. Thank very much for stopping by and the comment!
Congrats on the 50 club Tony! Wow the car looks so cool and runs smooth as silk. I also tried a new motor and it struggled with higher gearing... going to try it on even lower gearing but I'm nowhere near the speeds you are at! Same here, I think the weather is going to end play before I find the gearing sweet-spot! Well done pal, you are top of the Brits I think! :D
Thanks Mark, getting into the 50 club now in more ways than one 😂 Its interesting that I was able to do a 50mph run using ludicrous gearing (28T Pinion), but you could see the car was just taking a bit longer than I would have liked to build speed. So swapped the same pinion over to the regular gearing and you could tell it was much quicker accelerating and got fractionally higher speed. I do wonder if I decreased the pinion by another tooth or two what effect that would have had. No time though sadly as it was getting late. I do think that converting to RWD only would help as well as I'm sure the 11T SuperModified I'm using wasn't meant to be pushed with 4WD. Not sure if I'm daft enough to try it though 🤣
@@TonyGardnerRC I'm having exactly the same issues, Tony! Got same speed with 25T pinion on both standard and ludicrous spur gears. But having trouble with motors slowing after a couple of runs due to heat. It's a tricky business, this speed run malarkey! I tried my TT02 last year in RWD mode and it was fast, but undriveable!!!
I think there are a few people that would love this location. I'm lucky being able to arrange it, being a member here helps a little. Hoping for one more run but weather is not looking good now. Good luck with any runs left for you!
Thank you, I had no stability issues other than the usual wanting to randomly change direction! I just need more power...! This was non ludicrous which seemed to help the motor. Tamiya 11T Super Modified.
@@madsrcbuggy its my second home 😂. I spend a lot of time here and a member here too. Really pleased with the speed, i think there is a little more in it with gearing changes. Thanks for the comment and watching 😁
that does look good. Congratulations on the PB. Good note on the non ludicrous mode too. Trying ludicrous this weekend with a new set up. Love the track too
@@rivierarc This is my first year trying this as well. Never tried anything like it. There are so many gearing combinations to try, but so little time!
@@rivierarc At least I've made an update for scoreboard Sunday. Shame the weather now here is not good for the last full week of competition. I do have an end game motor to install, but it will be a miracle if I can run it!
Squirrely, but you held it down! Nice pass and that body looks good
Very respectable.
Great result. Especial with these rubber tires, when everyone wents foam👍

How hot can a car look? Tony Gardner: Yes! Seem you found a pretty nice spot to run! Car does smooth, congrats on the result! 🎉

Woo Hoo! Tony hits the 50 mph club just before he hits the 50 years of age club! It's a serendipitous run, Tony. It was meant to be... Hahaha!
Cheers Fil, glad I was able to get there eventually, 50 for the 50 😂
Wish I had that run location! Great Run and Congrats on your new PB!

Congrats on new PB, Tony 👏 I'm tempted to run the P911 without the big rear wing now 🤔🤝

@@TonyGardnerRC isnt that the truth. It is certainly fun though.
Roll on the next two days.....
