I have a 2012 Jetta TDI 2.0 and the engine looks identical to this one. Had it for 10 years, 130,000 miles on the clock, do my own maintenance services. Such great cars.
Thank you very much for sharing Martin, this is a very well structured and useful video. Will you be able to give your opinion about the following questions please? Is the servicing for the 1.6 tdi superb engine the same or similar to what you showed here? and is the 1.6tdi engine as good as the 2.0tdi to last beyond 200 000 miles or will it last less and give more trouble in a big car like the superb estate? Thanks in advance for your time reading this comment and questions
Thank you that you liked my video, to be honest I don’t have that much info regarding 1.6 TDI engine but I think there are a lot of similarities comparing to 2.0 TDI. I remember back in the days when I was working for company that had Škoda Octavia 1.6 TDI l, there wasn’t any issue besides regular service. Sorry for late response, but sometimes I overlook some comments.
With the car on the ramps, how can you be sure you have drained all old oil from the engine? Would it not have been better to lift the rear of the car as well to keep the car level?
I'm thinking about buying one of these. A friend of mine sold his Superb with 340.000miles and the car was still spot on. These Skoda's are Superb!
Yes they are Superb
Superb is the best car from Skoda group.

I’d recommend filling the fuel filter housing with a little diesel before refitting a new filter, makes starting easier,
This content is so satisfying to watch! What do you do for a living if you don’t mind me asking?
Keep going champ and give your girlfriend a blueberry muffin for a better mood😉😉
Thank you. I can’t do that, she’s on diet 😅
¡Gran vídeo! Gracias
If you need to bleed the fuel system, just turn 5x ignition on and off and then you can simply start the engine.
I think I did that 🤔

Great video!👍🏻 many thanks, where are you from Poland?
Probably from the Czech Republic or Slovakia because he said Shkoda propoly. Polish people says Skoda like in english language.
