- These outdoor wedding fails can very easily be avoided with a little extra planning!
The outdoors can be a little unpredictable, but if you just make sure you are covered on these items, your wedding will be amazing. There are so many little things that can distract from the wedding experience for both you and your guests that if you just put a little extra time and effort into prepping for beforehand, won’t be an issue. After seeing prices of venues I looked for alternatives. I found a cheap room to have our reception in but they don't allow drop catering unless it's by caterers on their list. I am now considering just having the wedding at a local park and just rent a preexisting covered area with picnic tables. And just buy pizzas for everyone and soft drinks. That way we can just enjoy the day more and not worry as much about the set up and tear down.

There are some little plastic thingies (sorry don't know what they're actually called) that cover your stiletto heel so it won't sink in to the grass! I've used them before & they worked fine!

Our grand-niece just held her wedding in our pasture & backyard this past weekend. We did have rain and we did get wet. We would like tips for how to keep guests out of the house if that's not part of the venue arrangement. Also, there are a lot of areas dealing with forest fires and smoke can be a real problem for outdoor events of any kind - what do you recommend?
My ceremony will be outside on the water May 2023. But plan B is indoors at the reception since everything is in the same location

My best friend got married in July by a pond and the whole bridal party was getting stung by bees the entire time. We were trying to stand still and not swat them away because of the pictures but that was rough

my thought is to have the bride get ready at a near buy home/ hotel. than have the bride get driven up when the ceremony starts to avoid ppl seeing her before hand
