Its really surprising that M&M is giving a 3cylinder diesel engine in the highest selling SUV of India! The previous 2.5ltr diesel engine was strong, sturdy and effective, far better than this 1.5mhawk engine.. You see, the same body, chassis, wheel radius & wheel base was given in the 2.5ltr engine which actually suited the size and looks of Bolero but when the company fits a small sized 3cylinder 1.5ltr engine on the same body type, it becomes more weak, dull and boring when we talk about performance. There's lot of gaps between the wheel arches & bumpers on FR and RE as well as the fog lamp covers and bumper grille which allows the wet mud (keechad) to stick on body making it visible in looks! Again, talking about the cosmetic changes, m&m hasn't replaced the metal bumpers on FR and RE nor the old fashioned antenna, nor the door handles. Also, m&m must change the rear number plate position, which is too low & gets damaged maximum number of times. The perfect place for the rear number plate is below the back door handle, just like which used to be in old pajero and prado SUVs.👍
Again, when we talk about the 1.5CC, its very common and you will find it in many small sized cars, but Bolero stands out of the list and deserves a solid capacity of atleast 2.2ltr engine. And when other models like quanto, TUV, kuv etc having 3 cylinders have failed, why not shift to a better 4cylinder engine boss!!!🙏
Manufacturing Cost badh jata hai na bawa. Upar se 2500 cc ka insurance slab alag hai aur di ( direct injection) ab outdated ho gaya hai Rotary fuel pump wala.

Ye 1.5cc k engine choti cars k liye theek hain, Bolero k liye nahi. TUV kuv etc kyon fail hue, isi vajah se na! मैं खुद service department mein technical manager raha hoon. Smoothness se baat nahi banti, when you sit or drive a suv, you should get the feel also. Just Imagine, agar fortuner, prado, range rover discovery ya pajero mein 2hajar cc k engine hote toh!! Emission standards change sirf mm k liye thodi na kiye gaye hain, sabhi manufacturers par ye niyam lagu hote hain. Think about original Scorpio- they offered a 2.6 turbo diesel engine which was later replaced by a 2.6cc crde engine... Kya zabardast aggressive look tha, feel bhi tha aur road presence bhi solid tha. later, this engine was replaced by a 2.2cc mhawk engine, but the aggressiveness and the 4cylinder concept was retained by mm. Same should had been done with bolero, tuv, neo etc. Again when we talk about 2.5cc engine, force Gurkha is using it with pride under Mercedes technology. Cars like fabia and polo use 3cylinder engines, its ok with them, not with a SUV.
@@rubensubba912 Ruben bhai, chalakar dekhi aur off roading bhi karke dekh liya, but thrill nahin feel hua jaisa pehele wali bolero aur bolero storm mein ata tha. Nexon, creta, brezza ya fir ertiga ko hi dekhlo, sabhi 1.5cc engine hain, par 4cylinders wale hain. Unhone rules k hisab se kyon changes nahin kiye fir!?! 4cylinders ki baat hi kuch aur hoti hai dear.🙏👍
Agree.. but Baat phir vahi ke vahi rah jati hai na.. Fortuner ho ya scoda market share utna nhi jitna m&m ka h. Sales figure and customer base bhi consider karna hota hain. mahindra ka paper figures and practical approach se ham guess nhi kar sakte bhale hi wo 3 cylinder engine ho but after sales service cost and handling better than previous m2dicr. I drove all fortuner 3ltr, bolero 2.5 and 1.5 but pocket and maintainance friendly is only m&m. Bilkul bhi lag feel nhi hoti 3 cylinder ke bavjood.
