Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania are the only two NBA newsbreakers who matter but NBA media has become a lot worse. This is a look at how they became so powerful and what effect they’ve had on the league.

The fact that Shams basically sacrificed his life for scoops in the NBA is actually really sad. I remember the "rizz god" moment he had in an interview and the fact that he can't add on that is sad.

Not much of a sacrifice. Now he has more time and freedom dedicated to making money and building his empire instead of useless dates with women. He can just pay for sexual services without the commitment.

Don't worry though, they only pave the roads we drive on, build the buildings we live in, supply electricity to said buildings, supply water/SEWER to said buildings and do all the other things no one else wants to do so why should those average workers make enough money to enjoy what the world has to offer............

I was wondering how this works. So basically teams/agents will give Woj and Shams big stories so the teams/agents gets access to all of their knowledge they are not telling the public. It also protects the teams/agents from Woj and Shams painting false narratives so the teams/agents that do cooperate with them benefit even more with the relationship.

Truly not surprised, and that goes for how they've been handling the NBA Free agency mess ever since i believe Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis made their decisions back in 2018,
AD requested a trade out of New Orleans to go to the Lakers, and Kawhi Leonard not playing for San Antonio and then the Spurs trading him to Toronto for DeRozan then in the 2019 Free Agency , Kawhi signing with the LA Clippers to go play with Paul George
so both Shams and WOJ had a major impact covering the whole NBA Landscape from that particular time

The NBA reporter business is similar to the TH-cam blogging business
I know this 1st-hand where everybody rushes to b 1st to the story and in the process they might get their facts wrong or put out information that hasn't been confirmed yet which then becomes obvious who leaked such information!
It's a very cut throat business and it's all about who can get first in order to get the most clicks because once the story's been out for about an hour you're basically a nobody just chasing old news
A lot of people end up sacrificing who they are just to reach these goals sadly!

I agree with what you said about them being power hungry and how it's messed up that they are the only two reporters that matter in the NBA right now, but what you said near the end about them covering up the whole truth is near-sighted. I 100% agree that they do not tell the whole truth in favor of protecting their business, BUT if you don't think the media has always done that to some extent that you have not paid close enough attention. The media is a business, it always has been. They want to protect their business and be profitable. I don't like the Woj and Shams dynasty either, but it's weird to blame them for something that is simply commonplace in the industry.

It takes us one big break or 1 big story and then if you continue forward on that path sometimes it leads 2 a amazing career
I was almost so lucky when I had my first story go viral and then I followed it up and had another one go viral and started to gain traction until eventually TH-cam started changing the guidelines became too complicated and it just became too much of a hassle now with everything being so easy to get paid and not as much restrictions almost wish that I would have just stuck it out and continued cause who knows I could've been at a 100k subscribers average a 10k views a video and making a $1k a month just off TH-cam... But similar to that line of work it's supercut throat and it just became tired an always trying to be first to the story trying to get your information correct but even when you do get it correct you don't get rewarded for it or Recognition u just get a ok gotta get the next 1 to stay up on the algorithm!

Needed this today- thanks . Shams and woj suck. I think it’s obvious everyone prefers getting their sports fix from Chanel’s and content creators like this

This is what Skip Bayless said about espn and their reporters too. He even calls out SAS for doing the same thing.

Pretty much yea. All he does is shit posting on Twitter what owners and sports agency tell him to. The dudes are just the representation of
      "Tell that guy X"
"That guy there tell me to tell you this"
Nobody can't validate the information because they didn't heard the person saying, but a 3rd person told them this other person say it
🤣🤣. Dude is just a speaker for Players and Owners so they don't ruining their public image.

All reporters want themselves to have the breaking news. I dont understand the hate. They are just doing their job, and they are very good at it. Welcome to the world of media.

This sort of pattern became the norm in political journalism back in the 1980s, starting with the relationship between the White House and the press corps.

Than bench players you mean! They are right reporters shouldn’t be this involved. It’s about the players in the league not reporters or analytical zombies ruining the game.
