    Hey guy, Just found you on JBENHIKES video at your finish. Glad to find out your doing the BMT, We just got back from hiking the Mountain to the Sea thru the Smokies. Well some of it as the Clingmans Dome road is closed. Looking forward to your hike. Thanks for sharing. I don't know why TH-cam did not notify me.

      The combos got old really fast, then hiker hunger kicked in and I ate them all faster than planned!

    Hey man. Good to see you finally putting this trip up. I've been waiting for a while. I can't wait to see you going through the blow down valley you told me about when I saw you at Bob's bald. I think I might do this trip this spring.

      Should be nice in the spring! Hopefully, all the trees will be cleaned up and you will have smooth sailing.

    Thanks for this! Am planning a BMT thru from Amicalola in early April. PS: What are combos?

      Its like a cracker filled with peanut butter or in the case of the trip, a pizza flavoring.

    We’re you carrying a carbon bear can on that trail?

    • @LeonidasontheTrail
      @LeonidasontheTrail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I always carry a bear canister these days as it simplifies food storage for me. No worries about finding a tree. It makes a decent seat as well and I use it as a table if I have a good place to sit on the ground.

    What kind of pack are you using on this trip? Happy Hiking!

    • @LeonidasontheTrail
      @LeonidasontheTrail  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Using a Zpacks Arc Blast.

      @@LeonidasontheTrail I have the Arc Haul and would like to downsize. How do you like the Arc Blast?

    • @LeonidasontheTrail
      @LeonidasontheTrail  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cottontalesfromthetrail5474 I have actually been considering changing packs. If I weren’t using a bear canister, I would definitely use the blast or even the new smaller framed arc pack they just released. I found on this hike that a 15-ish pound bear can on top of the pack can actually cause back pain. I am going to give the pack one more go with packing the can internally and decide if I will switch or not.
