- Kenny Lawler caught a 10-yard pass in the end zone with 19 seconds remaining as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers avoided a Hamilton Tiger-Cats comeback with a 26-23 victory on Friday. The Blue Bombers (5-6) extended their win streak to three games in front of a sold-out crowd of 32,343 at Princess Auto Stadium, while the Tiger-Cats (2-9) dropped their fourth game in row.

We all want calls to go the way of whichever team we cheer for, and I'm sure the command centre is trying to get it right, but if they had access to the same footage as TSN I really don't see how that was ruled a completion and not an interception. But now it's time to move on.

Yeah - but for some reason everyone's blaming the CC and not the refs. It was obvious even at full speed from a wide angle that the receiver at no point had control of the ball while he was flopping around. And in the replays, it was obvious that the play ended without the ball touching the ground. So the only logical possibility left is that it was an interception... right? Well no actually - cuz even tho Alexander was the one with the ball after the dust settled, the CC could not view the actual act of him intercepting the ball - his hands just weren't visible. So there was no conclusive evidence to overrule the utterly moronic call on the field. Inductive logic just isn't in the CC job description. The one thing I *do* hate about the CC tho is that it made the refs lazy and their field-level calls even more arbitrary. Proulx is senile.

oh they deserved to win, in spite of the one sided reffing and the injury the bombers won the game as they should have, they deserved it cuz Hamilton is a garbage team.

I loved the crowd reaction after the 'offsetting penalties' were announced.
Btw, Proulx doesn't seem to know the rules - cuz what Tuck did is actually a *25* yd penalty... at least, it was when the same thing happened a few wks ago (I think it was a Mtl game?). Tuck deliberately speared the ball carrier helmet-to-helmet when he was in a vulnerable position, i.e. flat on the ground, AND he did it long after the play was over. And then the Bomber guy gives Tuck a shove in the back, but instead of unnecessary roughness, he gets a MISCONDUCT - which is the same as a yellow card in soccer. For a shove (hello, it's football?). So Ticats actually got the lesser penalty cuz that Bomber couldn't risk balling 100% for the rest of the game. Proulx was always bad, but now he's senile too.

Strevs was ready to rumble, but he wasn't even given a series that game. He was Grey Cup MVP less than 5yrs ago, but now it's like he's relegated to the jumbo package. I like Zack. I wish him nothing but the best, after all he's been thru. But I honestly think he's totally lost his peripheral vision.
