If you were born after the GameBoy Color or GameBoy Advance came out you might not see the significance, the way that someone born into the N64 era (much less anything more recent than that) might have a hard time getting into sprite based games of the NES, SNES, or Genesis.

One of the oddest games is some of trampoline game where you save oddly colored versions of the characters from Hamtaro.
