- In this video, I show you how to tame a Titanoboa. These guys are weird because they only want to eat fertilized eggs. Which means a load of work on the back end before you can even get started on taming them. One thing I didn't consider when writing the script for this video is why you would even want one. Simple answer: you want their eggs to make kibble with. Their kibble is used for Gigantopithecus, Thylacoleo, and Dunkleosteus.

I understand that there exists several commands and mods that allow you to tame or spawn tamed creatures and everything alongs those lines, but I wish that in the original Ark game, it would be possible to tame every creature, no matter how useful or useless it is. As an example of such creature (of the top of my head) are the ants and ‘drone’ ants. I believe they were called like that.

The titanoboa is so weird in ark because titanoboa was not a venomous snake it rapped around its prey and crushed its bones then it swallows its prey I wish they would add constricting with the titanoboa in to ark and that you can ride the titanoboa

I think they updated the aggression radius and hunger times since this video's release. I use moschops eggs as taming to breed those is easier than trying to stand under a diplodocus's attack "dead spot" and have a hesperonis attack you, resetting everything. This trap is only good for one titanoboa at a time in swamp areas of The Island. It is best to set up multiple traps as there is a lot that spawn and I do mean a lot, like maybe what feels like 100 per square kilometer.

Can you make a quick and dirty breeding vid like the farming one. Please
I do plan on getting to one eventually. But I can give an abbreviated rundown of it.
You put two creatures you want to breed into a small pen together then set them on wander.
After a short while, the female will either lay an egg or will have a gestation progress bar, in case of mammals.
The female will have a cooldown period before she can mate again.
From there, you will need to incubate the eggs. to incubate the egg you will just need to maintain a certain temperature range for an extended period of time. This differs for each species.
The easiest way to guarantee any egg to hatch with no health loss is to put it in range of 10-15 air conditioning units. The number you'll need depends on the type of egg and the climate of the area.
The child will inherit a mixture of the base stats and colors from the parents.
While the child is growing, you'll have the chance to imprint and bond with it. The stat boost gained from imprinting will not be passed on if you choose to breed the child.
There is also a small chance for there to be a mutation to happen. The mutation will randomize one color region and significantly boost one stat. Mutations can be passed on to offspring.

the first time i played ark i ran up to the titanoboa(my fav creature 2nd to yuty)i beat it with a club put its torpor dosent goes up so i come up with an idea i bought eggs(unfertilized and stolen from dinos all around the island XD)and i trapped the snake than drop the eggs i waited but it didnt eat it(idk why)so one thing is for certain(if you can tame it leave it or in the other way around..kill it for exp

August 2017, in patch v265. They are not tamable on the mobile version of the game.

Need help on mobile it seems the snakes are either smaller or just won't stay in the box everytime I get it in the box it climbs right on out or some times just goes threw the walls like straight up so idk what to do everything I try I can't get it to stay.

Revamp Wyvern eggs are great for taming things as they are large so they give most effectiveness. Also, why wouldn’t they use Wyvern eggs if they have them available. Once you have a decent wyvern getting eggs is a piece of cake!
@@revamp2921 honestly? It's a much better strat now that you can breed your wyverns so all your low lvl wyvern eggs can just go into taming things such as titanaboa etc
@@revamp2921 imo wyvern egg is easier to get than most other fertilized egg early on especially on populated server since there are always open wyvern trap, i could get one as soon as i unlock pteranodon saddle

It will knock stuff out. Probably easier to tame something like a bronto with a couple. Slam a few tranq darts in it and then the titanaboas can knock it out for you.

Eggs aren’t so bad. Just keep taming easier dinos and have them set to mate. If you really want to bump up the breeding process there are tons of info out there on how to modify the rates to favor a solo player with less time. We do it as a group of three and makes the game 100x more playable
