1:43 Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was the game that made me start writing(and evolving my vocabulary)when I was 15. It's why I always advocated for the "Video Games are art" argument. Other games that contributed to my love of writing are Silent Hill 2 Max Payne Metal Gear Solid
Dude, this is a fantastic dive into not only the game but your writing process. I'm sooo glad this inspired you to write the White Harbor series. Love it!
@@HorrorReads thank you so much. It really was a great influence, and basically if any SH fans read my books they'll definitely pick up on the influence and a a couple Easter eggs. 😊
Precious testimony and nice vibes, thanks! Maybe that's going to inspire me ... I think it's already did! I just want to say that's Silent Hill 1 also have a really profound story and deep strong emotion attach to it, it's just less obvious and literal than in the sequel! However, if you take the time to immerse yourself in the intricate story of the characters and what it implies, it hurt really hard, and has a huge and deep connection with the natures of relationship in the human experience. It also has a vertiginous esoteric arrangement of deeply meaningful symbols which is work in dialogue with all the story. For me, if you take seriously the all story of Alessa, Lisa, Harry or even Dahlia it's not that less hurting than the story of James, Mary or Angela. Silent Hill 2 is a remarkable monument, but I do think the first one live too much in his shadow. The profoundness of Silent Hill 1 is less accessible but still here if you walk the path to her.
@@gaspardmackittycat4825 oh definitely, I don't think that Silent Hill 1 lacks complexity, but it's less complex in its actual story, but very complex when it comes to symbolism and inserting the tropes of the "supernatural cult" story. I love SH1
I'm very confused by this video, I mean Silent Hill 2 had Jon Snow in it and you never mentioned him??? Oh and that guy who killed Captain Kirk!? 😁 Just kidding, great insight! You'll know me buy my grate speling!😊
