I dont typically get affected by a case, but this got to me. Like a serious, visceral reaction. I almost couldn't get through it, but I wanted to see how the case concluded. A life sentence really isnt enough. If reincarnation is real, I hope he's punished in his next life too. same here. Our old neighbor would drink a lot and they were constantly shouting, the bf would scream so loudly it gave me the chills. We’d hear glass break, etc. The other neighbors and I had called the police before but charges weren’t pressed, and the gf came back again. Neighbors had intervened another time to ensure she was okay. But, she would always come back. I really felt for her…. It was a vicious cycle. I hope she’s ok now 😫

There was a similar case happened in my town it was an ex-soldier (I live in a military town)who had PTSD and he mixed his medication with alcohol and the girlfriend said or did something that made him very angry and I was able to see the crime scene photos and it was gut-wrenching I’m not going to go into detail with the crime scene photos but it was gruesome.
I've always been on the side against the death penalty. Not because I don't want them to die, but because I think death is almost a free pass for them. I'd argue that spending the rest of your life in prison without the possibility of parole is worse than death.

So I’ve watched A LOT of true crime over the years. So much so that I’ve almost become “desensitized” to it. As in, almost nothing I’ve previously heard anyone do TRULY shocks me- until this case. A few months ago I watched the police interrogation of this and hearing the details of what this monster did to her and how matter of fact his mannerism was the entire time made me so sick I couldn’t finish it. I've always been a little conflicted about the death penalty. I believe in the death penalty that's not the conflict. Sometimes I just feel like living the rest of your life in prison would be more of a punishment. Now maybe if they put the person to death by the same means in which they killed someone that would be a suitable punishment, but giving them an injection would be the easy way out.

watched a separate video about this murder before i realized you had one and i have to praise you on how deeply you went into maria and who she was as a person despite not being able to find much. the other channel simply slipped past personifying maria and i just felt empty afterwards. maria deserves to be remembered for who she was and not what happened to her.
I really hope and pray that she was unconscious and felt no pain. Absolutely horrific crime I can’t even begin to imagine what she went through.

As someone who has a neighbor in a DV relationship. He shot at her a few times. Someone in the building called the police but they couldn’t find the gun but found the ammunition.They didn’t take him and she never press charges
I was in a DV situation, never this severe, but i didn’t wanna press charges either. I thought he would change, and from growing up in a challenging home, I felt like what he did was warranted - I messed up and deserved it. And then right after all that, he would be the kindest person in the world. Abuse is psychologically f’d up.

same here. Our old neighbor would drink a lot and they were constantly shouting, the bf would scream so loudly it gave me the chills. We’d hear glass break, etc. The other neighbors and I had called the police before but charges weren’t pressed, and the gf came back again. Neighbors had intervened another time to ensure she was okay. But, she would always come back. I really felt for her…. It was a vicious cycle. I hope she’s ok now 😫

I understand that some people would find the death penalty inhumane but for what he did, if there is ever a case that calls for the death penalty, this would be it. The lack of remorse and callousness displayed by this individual makes my skin crawl.

There was a similar case happened in my town it was an ex-soldier (I live in a military town)who had PTSD and he mixed his medication with alcohol and the girlfriend said or did something that made him very angry and I was able to see the crime scene photos and it was gut-wrenching I’m not going to go into detail with the crime scene photos but it was gruesome.
I've always been on the side against the death penalty. Not because I don't want them to die, but because I think death is almost a free pass for them. I'd argue that spending the rest of your life in prison without the possibility of parole is worse than death.
It really isn't. There's nothing worse than the death penalty for most criminals.

this story makes me so so so upset and angry because ive been there with accidentally thinking of an ex's name initially instead of my bf's because that's just the name that i was so used to thinking about for so long, so i completely get where she was coming from. i feel like a LOT of people have had this experience, and it frustrates me to no end that such an innocent mistake led to this happening to her. it wasn't her fault that it slipped out, and yet this monster did what he did from such a SMALL mistake. this is why i lose faith in humanity is "people" like him.

Florida has the death penalty and I hate it but under *very small circumstances* do I find it understandable… he would be one of the circumstances.

So I’ve watched A LOT of true crime over the years. So much so that I’ve almost become “desensitized” to it. As in, almost nothing I’ve previously heard anyone do TRULY shocks me- until this case. A few months ago I watched the police interrogation of this and hearing the details of what this monster did to her and how matter of fact his mannerism was the entire time made me so sick I couldn’t finish it. This is the most horrific way I’ve ever heard of someone’s life been taken. Rest in peace Maria🙏🏻

I've always been a little conflicted about the death penalty. I believe in the death penalty that's not the conflict. Sometimes I just feel like living the rest of your life in prison would be more of a punishment. Now maybe if they put the person to death by the same means in which they killed someone that would be a suitable punishment, but giving them an injection would be the easy way out.
i listened to the police interview of this a while ago…most disturbing thing i’ve ever listened to and i listen to true crime allll the time. so sad. her poor family. i can’t imagine having this much information out there for everyone (referring to the interrogation specifically)
Usually I have no problem with watching cases like these, but i'm only thirteen minutes in and the descriptions of what happened to that poor woman so far makes me physically ill. I hope I can power through the rest of the video
I've realized in many cases, people will hear a commotion or dispute and never do anything about it. If you have the feeling that something bad is going on in an apartment, call the police. Those disputes may be signs of domestic violence or a more heinous crime.
i can imagine being enraged and throwing something or yelling or even hitting or slapping in the heat of the moment, but fucking torture??? torture and r*pe cases just mess with my brain so much like how can you sit there while someone’s in so much pain in front of you

I much prefer this format where you're focusing on the details of the case and just speaking into the mic. I'm not sure if you know of the true crime TH-camr Kendall Rae, but she has a similar format and I love her content. My comment will probably get lost at sea but I just wanted to say I think it's cool that you are seemingly taking in feedback and applying it to your videos. A weird side note but I also love these videos because your voice is very relaxing haha.
