    This video is second favorite ever only to the one I have on my phone of you and Katie. Your love for the straight and level is what makes you a safe (while still goofy) pilot. Add, I am NOT saying SS isn’t a safe pilot... just that everyone of those maneuvers is a scientific and aerodynamically precise function.... not just push the throttle, twist the stick and go in a Cirrus kinda way flying...
    Love watching the edits as Tiberius, Katie and I sip our beverages and laugh at your discomfort. 🙃

    • @JustPlaneSilly
      @JustPlaneSilly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha thank you. And my apologies to Katie for leaving some of the swear words in. There were a couple places I chose not to bleep them because they were a result of the real panic I was feeling in the moment. I really try not to do that but this time (even if my mom sees it) I wanted to convey just how out of my comfort zone I was. It will be rare on this channel but I gave it a lot of thought before choosing not to edit them all out.

    • @JustPlaneSilly
      @JustPlaneSilly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That front seat is super reclined. It is like a recumbent bike. I think so the pilot in back can see over the passenger. But your legs go far forward and the acro fuel tank is basically in your lap. I have decided in the event of an emergency, the parachute was just for looks. There is no getting out of that plane quickly.

    • @watashiandroid8314
      @watashiandroid8314 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      100%. I just recently got checked out to rent a Decathlon for aerobatics, and I quickly learned that negative Gs are not fun. I still do inverted flight to keep myself comfortable with it for safety reasons and such, but I tend to save it for the end of the flight so as not to spoil the fun stuff like the barrel rolls, reverse half cubans, and hammer heads ;)

    Ive done the owner's course. We did the regular flat spin and it was awesome. Out of all the things, the half cuban made me a bit nauseous. Its that upside down thing with Gs i guess. Bryan, thank you for this video. It's great, as was the first one. I'm proud of you for getting through the inverted flat spin, but I've got to say, after everything Spencer did to you . . . in the airplane . . . you came away with a huge smile on your face and you were laughing. That tells me a lot, mainly you had more than enough to be able to continue to do any and all of that over again.
    Spencer is a great pilot, and an awesome teacher. I wish I was in a position to be current again, and to go flying with him.
    Okay, next, can you talk about the camera you used to shoot Spencer with, and how the point of view stayed the same in the rolls and stuff while the camera actually changed. I don't know if that's a Garmin product, or if it's done externally in software or what, but it IS pretty cool.

    You mentioned a snap roll trivia on the last video right? Is that one in the works or am I misremembering

      That will be video 3 of 3. Almost done editing.

      @@JustPlaneSilly Ah awesome! since this ended with a landing I thought that was it and part 3 would be the straight and level. Looking forward to it!

    So um... can these be done in the grumman?

    • @JustPlaneSilly
      @JustPlaneSilly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's actually a really good question. Spencer is going to come out to Dallas at some point and he and I are going to do a video on what sort of maneuvers you can do in your normal GA aircraft, shandell's, lazy eights, wingovers etc

      A few of those could be done one time in many planes

    Looks like you had great fun as much as you are trying to tell us you didn't like it. I think if you had the chance to do it again you would and if not let me know and pay for my flight out there and I will do it for you.

      I will do it again, I just can't imagine doing it frequently. It was nerve wracking

    • @flyingkub
      @flyingkub 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustPlaneSilly But if you did it frequently you would find it boring fling straight and level from A to B and have to put a roll or loop in the flight.

      I don't ever throw up unless I am in college and really drunk. Its been a number of years. I am very lucky in that sense. I know a few people that get motion sick and it sounds miserable.

      @@JustPlaneSilly I've only gotton motion sickness once, flying back from VCB to KSJC after a lunch of an avacado sandwich. Flying over Mt. Diablo in moderate turbulence was just a bit too much for me. Tough being sick when you are PIC.
