    What do you think the root of YOUR high-functioning anxiety is?

      Dear Tati, Thank you so much. Your video has given me some great added insight into my life long anxiety and low self-esteem problems. Together with information from another person's video I can see where my root causes lie. Now is the challenge to help myself, but unfortunately it all comes after a ruined life. I thank you so! Mark

    Hi, can you please guide me how to become a licensed therapist. Actually I am 40 years old and not sure if I can still do it. I developed an interest in mental health improvement since the time I got issues like anxiety and panic attacks . This anxiety also manifested as physical symptoms in body such as pppd and sense of imbalance while standing.😮

      It can be many things. I think anxiety makes us need to know the absolute answer to everything and the reality is we don’t always know.

      @@julietteferrars3097 agreed. The day after this comment i started intensive exposure therapy and im doing so much better already and honestly idgaf what the root cause is now. Im doing exposure so i can handle it again.
      You are right anxiety wants us to figure things out while there is nothing to figure out

    In my mind, your definition of hfa is just masking anxiety from others. Its what millions of people do everyday because they feel weak if they say they have anxiety. So if there is hfa, there must be low or even moderate functioning of anxiety. What symptoms do these manifest?

    • @julietteferrars3097
      @julietteferrars3097 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Low/moderate would be someone with anxiety never leaving their house or using illegal drugs to cope.

    How is overworking related to avoidance? Procrastination and the other make sense to me but I’m not sure about overworking.

    • @CalmlyCoping

      Excellent question, Gabe! Because sometimes we can use work as a way avoiding confronting our emotions and thoughts (including negative thoughts and worries). Overworking can be a form of staying busy that can keep us in "productivity mode" while potentially ignoring our mental health and other self-care needs.
      Rest, relaxation, and down time are important ways to care for yourself.

      47 and I fit ever single symptom.. been doing therapy for 3 years and I'm a little taken a back that nobody even hinted at this... I stsrted my own self healing at 40 and it still continues... I have gotten much better.. I am outwardly very confident, strong, ride motorcycles, dive, the works, and I love it.inside I feel anxiety daily, fearful of everything (some slighlty some not), death convos.... i have a fear of fighting I recognized, then went down into fear of masculinity, then went down into fear of hurting people (stayed in a relationship 8 years because of this) and the fears have increased... as of now I'm okish but this video has me thinking...thank you and I'll keep on watching
