Shawn GBerry do u really think he went and bought a welder to build that?? Wow.. Id hope not but pretty clear by ur comment.. Id put money on him already having the welder and was just doing a project.
attach your welding lead to the outside race of the bearing or you will send power through the bearing welding the internals together. nice off grid ideas for tools keep up the good work.
You're a Filipino? I just thought you are an Austrian citizen from Austria. You did a great job with your impressive idea of improvised ratchet from bicycle sprocket. Cheers, kabayan!
hey mate great work, you're simplistic designs and enginuity always impress me. I've missed your last couple of videos so I'm going to go watch them now and catch up
Awesome video, when your welding galvanized steel don't breathe fumes not safe you probably already know this if so I'm sorry and like I said great video.
I know ratchets are fairly cheap. But this video shows a person how to make one when you can't just quickly pop down to Lows or what ever hardware store to buy one. People are so quick to criticize and judge.
Leon Tryitall yeah they r. Plus a lot of people don't believe in building something just to see if u can either. They have no ability to do it so they give others shit that try to, or succeed in doing it. Screw them don't pay them any attention.
It doesn’t matter if he could or couldn’t pop on over to the hardware store and buy a ratchet. The point is he has the ability to build so he did and he’s making the videos while others are watching and criticizing. Your skills are very impressive!!! I’m curious where you live, please.
Edit: Oh never mind, you used this later - but you could easily have started that way For removing the teeth, you could try a technique I learned from Atomic zombie for cleaning up parts - just grab your angle grinder with a grinding (not cutting) disk and let the sprocket rotate freely (as in the video) while grinding away. It gives a very even result as all the teeth are spinning past at roughly the same speed and height as you grind down. Hold the angle grinder at a slight angle so that half the motion goes into spinning the sprocket and half into grinding down the teeth
how funny that many creators here in youtube copied this project then gets more views than me haha lol.
Now your video is rocking,
Last time I checked, ratchets were way less expensive than welding machines. I watched it all anyway. Good video.

Yeah, but where did he pop on down to to get grinder discs? And why do you have sockets if you don't have a socket wrench?
