Damn Mr. Downie! Like I said previously, just discovered your channel few weeks ago, and what is not to like? You scratch the curious itch in us all, and you present it in such a way that to so entertaining to the pallet. For those of us that are too wound up in our own lives to travel and question, ten minutes or so with you sir, makes one realize that we all need to jump off the cliff of life, and build our wings on the way down. Thank you.
Wow! This might be the nicest comment I've ever received. Thank you very much Shane. I really appreciate hearing that. Obviously each comment, subscribe and Like is a signal that you guys enjoy it, and each time my numbers grow, it enables me to go somewhere bigger and explore something new for us all. Thanks for the comment and for watching! I'm glad you enjoy the videos as much as I do.
I think you really nailed the tone of this subject, thank you for going & presenting the info - it was not exactly on my list of places to visit but it was worth viewing your vlog.
I was stationed there when I was in the army, wild history there, sad history, my grandfather who I told you about that was a rail roader, actually fought at heart break ridge and Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War as a Marine, he also fought in WW2 prior, he came home and became a rail roader in Cincinnati, my dad was stationed on the DMZ in the 70s and I was there from 2009 to 2011, I’m only 37.
0:22 At the center there's a real estate and at the right, there's a car wash station :D Btw I have a question.. in one of your comments you said you are a "private TH-camr" what is it?? And congrats for reaching 2.1K subscribers!!
Great tour of the DMZ! Interesting stuff mate. I also find it intriguing that their propaganda is again in overdrive while they both play nice with the Olympics occurring.
Great job, Michael. It is great to see a place most of us will never get close too. Thanks!
As always, you're very welcome Jane!

Your channel is going to blow up. Your content has been amazing and very intriguing. Great Job Downie!
Thanks very much Cole. I hope you're right, but I'll keep making videos regardless.
This was extremely interesting!
That's what I thought Brandon! Which is why I made it. Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you learned something.
I'm confused how is this channel only at 2k subs? Kind of demotivating to see such high quality vids and no people watching
I appreciate that. I guess it's a good thing I do it for the love of it...

I had no idea it was so mountainous!
Also, I wonder what they play on the loud speakers on the North Korean side...

A private TH-camr means my videos aren't being made for a company, but they're for me (but mostly for you!)
Oh okay thanks for the info! Wait isn't it 7:09 am in South Korea? Sorry if you were still sleeping and disturbed your golden dream :p
Really enjoyed this, thank you !
I was stationed at Camp Liberty Bell on the DMZ
No way! So interesting!

thank you your video is very interesting!!👍
Nice overview Michael
안녕하세요 저는 한국사람입니다. 제가 영어를 못해서 이 글을 이해하실지 모르겠지만 한국에 대한 설명 감사합니다.
congrats on getting 2,000 subs... how long are you going to be in South Korea
Thanks Caden! I'll be here until the Olympics end at the of February.
How do you get to that place???!!
There was a tour for people working at the Olympics.
I love that the South Korean propaganda announces "You have made it" for those brave souls defecting from NK. Thanx for sharing that.
All i picture is the interview and kim jung un saying he feels like a plastic bag
