The new expressway that links Bengaluru to Chennai isn’t complete yet, but I have no doubt that when open this will not only be the most preferred route linking the two state capitals, but will also be most popular with those wanting to tackle their machines out for a weekend spin.

However, how best highways are made by government, but our drivers must follow lane discipline, particularly truck drivers need to be educated to use proper lane. eg: Slow moving vehicles on extreme left lane. Most of the truck drivers drive at slow speed on extreme right lane.

This can only happen in express or super express ways where no 2 wheelers are allowed and exit is on left(no right turn).
Otherwise trucks on leftside with 2 wheelers is a nightmare for 2 wheel drivers and also truck drivers.
What about bikers, unless you people educate younger generations how to drive bikes on highway, death on road is inevitable
To do highways in two wheeler the riders should be certified appropriately and the minimum age entry for such riders to get certified should be minimum 25 years otherwise we will have reckless driving done

This is not Chennai express way it is STRR,Chennai express is still under construction.
STRR has 4 phases, this must be 1st phase of it. But STRR has 6 lanes and BC Expressway has 4 lanes.
It's the same thing. The STRR project is also known as Bangalore Chennai expressway.

In my opinion, every city in India should have a ring road. I agree with Kripal regarding the condition of our Highways. It has certainly improved. I am just back from Ratnagiri trip starting from Pune and the ride (on my Bonnie) was awesome.

This is not Chennai expressway. What you took is called STRR(Satellite Town Ring road).
The Chennai expressway starts somewhere south of the Kolar road intersection loop (which you did not cross)

over-rated. The ECR road is filled with pot holes and is a single lane highway with no barriers. the new dindivanam bypass is far better and safer. ECR at night-time is a nightmare as you've got 0 street lights and no reflectors even for most of the stretch.

I have been travelling through there this route
It has less traffic, less tolls,
Driving through day time is good
At night times it not advisable as you find lesser traffic and no guarantee to find mechanic or anything else when you need

This looks like 1st phase of STRR rather than BC Expressway(which is still under construction). Also as far as riding experience goes, BC Expressway will be very congested with just 4 lanes and the amount of traffic expected once its gets completed. So don't get your hopes high about BC Expressway.

You could go further down same Hoskote and catch the highway instead of taking the Chintamani route :) Besides, NE7 is not ready. I think construction on the Andhra section is still on going.

You could avoid the kr puram traffic by taking the road on the left at hanging bridge (towards kr puram station), cross phoneix marketcity and take a left turn at the hope farm signal, this would take you almost upto to the hoskote till gate

Its good to see new highway which takes me to Hyderabad. Which model are you riding Sir Harley engine are massive and air cooled does it get too hot in traffic? I like high torque engines but ive heard Harley gets super hot which is keeping me away.
I ride a Fat Boy. Yes it is air cooled. As for heat, it’s only an issue when you’re stuck in traffic. Once the motorcycle rolls past 10kmph the heat dissipates rapidly.

We rode only on a small part of it, eventually when it is complete and opens, motorcycles may not be allowed. Don’t know.

Problem with this Road - They should have planned a 8 way - Most of the junctions it has 4 way. Not a big fan of this road. It will have to face lot of traffic.

Up to bangalore exit its good, after that andra to chennai 50% roads are good and from andra to chennai 85% dirty road, everywhere all flyovers broken, full of diverstions. Chenai is the Most dirtiest city i have ever seen.

One can see irresponsible drivers and bikers causing traffic jam across the city .Even the pleasure of driving or riding becomes a stress because of such fellows who just think of themselves and using the road driving or riding zig zag ,squeezing between vehicles are their rights.
