I’m using this service here in Florida USA and was skeptical about this until I saw your videos. You are a craftsman. I hope my guy is too. So it is possible to use smart repairs and get better results that at an actual body shop.

I was expecting the gazibo to come out to give a bit of shade! I have a garden table unbrealla and a heavy stand that I use to create a bit of shade Put up and back down in seconds. Its always easier when you feel comfortable. Top job as always. Looks lovely.

Hi, Really appreciate the reply to my question on colour matching, just another quickie. On your blends you create an arch with the brown paper, but i notice it flapping around as you spray, does it not stick to or mar the fresh wet paint, or does it not get under the arch so its just a little bit of over spray here that you then melt in with the blending aerosol,
It’s where I stop the clear and just want overspray in there then I remove and melt in 👍👍👍👍
Brilliant videos. I would love to know more about how you match the paint, you dont appear to have a colour card set, or a spectrometer, or do spray out cards, yet get great matches. Is it just the suggested colour mix from the paint code you use. A vidoe on this part of the job would be very welcome. Keep up the good work. Pete
I just go for standard shade if the colour looks off on the mixing stick then I’ll tint from there ohh and being good at blending helps 😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍

Great job as always Grant it came out looking mint👌 I really feel for you working in that heat mate as I hate the heat it completely drains me and it's been up to 40C in my little booth in this weather so I do some painting early in the morning then when it's to hot I'll do some prep work then say sod it🥵😂👍
I have a workshop job tomorrow it’s supposed to get up to 31 so my phone says which will be hotter I shall see how it goes but I am already considering postponing the rest of the weeks work the panel temperatures are just too hot and the paints drying before it gets on the panel so I’ll test the waters tomorrow but don’t fancy it
I think as you said tomorrow should be hot again then is should be a bit cooler for a couple of days (under 25c) so you may be able to get something done Grant but Friday and the weekend is supposed to be even hotter than it is now, they said on the news this morning that it's going to be hotter here than Hawaii🥵, I'm in Norfolk but think I'll move to Iceland for a week😂 go careful in this heat mate👍

When you went mobile I thought you were going to create your own 'booth' with the pop up shelter thing :-) Did you have to do anything different to the paint to account for high temps? Sun tan lotion is a must working out in summer, you don't want to get skin cancer!
Added more thinners to help it flow and cut my flash off times down but tbh I should change my hardner to a slower one it’s was too hot

Top job mate . Why do you use a small laquer tin as well ?
It’s fade out thinners helps melt the blend into the old clear coat 👍👍👍

Grant. How come the brown paper flapping about on and off the panel where you appear to be painting doesn’t stick to the paint?
It’s for it to waft into I didn’t actually put clear coat there and then in the second coat I remove it
Nice work pal. How do you clean your guns out on site or at the unit
I have a cut down old thinners tin in the van, I have a squeezy bottles of gun wash thinners, I clean my clear guns out with that squirt the waste into the cut down tin, and I have a pump up bottle with deionised water in to clean out my base coat guns and squirt that into the tin, I then empty that tin out into a drum in my workshop and get a company called safety clean to come collect it once full, the cut down tin never gets to quarter full after a full week so it works out just fine 👍👍👍👍

Question..... I bought some multimix clear last year, used some and all was good... Today is the first time since then that I've painted.. I bought a new Gun devilbiss flg5... Went to use it and literally the clear coat came out of the gun like silly string/cotton candy!.. What's that about?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 yeah it’s happened to me before don’t worry I think if you have opened a tin of hardner it lasts about 4-6 months I’d say, they don’t normally last me that long but I was testing different clears at the time and had loads so my Mipa one went off and done the same
