I love how Rocinante had the same childhood experiences as Doflamingo but he turned out to be an amazing human being

But the four worshippers went to a angry kid and woeshipped him as a cult. They are responsible for the donquichotte family. And Doffy as kid could have his morality fixed i he didnt fell in the hands of the crazy 4. Corazon wouldnt fall for it because he is too god of a person, but duffy as marine would just be slightly cruel, but who knows.
@@jonsnor4313 Absolutely nothing implies that Doflamingo could have been reformed. His own brother even made it clear that he thinks that Doflamingo was born a monster and that he himself is meant to be the cage. The four Executives absolutely made it worse by giving him ambition and indulging his entitlement complex, but they definitely didn't make him evil from the start. It was Doflamingo who refused to live "normally" from the start because he always thought he deserved to be in an exalted position above others.

Yeah but i dont that would sit well with corazon or sengoku. The ability to talk to the marines on a den den mushi with dofflamingo in the next room. Thats some top end spy abilities. He could burn half his castle down and not know unless some one physically touched him and woke him. But the calm calm fruit silencing shock waves. I doubt it.

i always like to think Corazon was like Fisher Tiger, in the way that he genuinely deep down was angry and hated the world as much as doflamingo, but rather than get revenge on it he tries to set the new generation straight and have his legacy carry on to fix the future and the world he hated so much. But he was too kindhearted to show that hatred

When you factor in all the enemies the straw hats have faced, Luffy should have a bounty of about 800 Million if it were not for the WG. It makes sense that the straw hats have to split after the encounter with Kuma, Sanji's family and of course Luffy's personality and his hole-in-the-chest brother

I feel like it is a trope that the straw hats are hardly together because they always get separated on mostly every island. the part of themnot been together always shows their love and togetherness is stronger than been physically together or something like that.
Naw corazon is naturally clumsy. How he went through the ranks in both the marines and the family is beyond me.

Corazon still my favourite character. Many people think that good guy is boring, but you don't always get a guy as that good. He gave up everything to save a kid who is not even nice. His father amazed me by thinking "Equality for all" as the privileged class and Roshinante amazed me by keeping the sense of justice and humanity after all the pain he suffered.
The relationship between Roshinante and Law is the best. I will say it‘s as good as the brother relationship between Ace, Sabo and Luffy. The thing is, he didn't do everything for the wrong guy. Law as the kid who hate Corazon at first, did treasure and appreciate everything Corazon did and Law remember. That means a lot.
Quite sad to me that Roshinante didn't have his own story, all plots about him are only extra to Law and Doflamingo. Wish to know more about him, and hope that he will be remembered by people, stand the test of time.
A nice parallel between the two that I like is how, while Doflamingo has the whole stepford smiler, big ass grin thing going, Corazon's smile is literally painted on his face. he is pretending to smile. Corazon is acting. And only when you meet the true Doflamingo and Corazon, the two switch places. Corazon is true happy smiler, while Doflamingo is a raging prick. And that's such a cool play on things.
I still think his fruit is a hard-counter to Whitebeard's. Sound is just vibrations. If this fruit stops vibrations, couldn't it nullify the tremors from the gura gura no mi?
gobulgobbler I'd agree but I don't know if his fruit could stop vibrations of seismic proportions. We're talking energy that can cause tidal waves and earthquakes, not footsteps or even gun shots.

I will still forever stand by Brooks being the worst backstory. From his time as a battle convoy, to the Rumbar Pirates, his Captain dying, his crew dying, him getting revived into a skeleton, and waiting for 50 years to get out to only have his shadow stolen which took away his hope of escaping the Fog.
Disciple of Shaun oh i cannot disagree to that. At the big party after thriller bark when Brook was singing it was kind of redeeming after all that we have learned. Well Zoro's story which has not yet fully revealed may change both our minds.

We were shown Doffy causing a ruckus in the streets, followed by everything going south once they found the mansion. I took that to mean that they followed him home, since otherwise the mansion was depicted as being secluded in the forest. Sure, there could have been some off panel moment where Holming told people, but we were not shown that. We were shown Doffy giving it away, and then the commoners showing up at the mansion.

Actually tekking101 the saying "blood is thicker than water" is actually means that the bond you make is stronger than the family you were born into. The actual saying is "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb."
Carter the quote is "blood is thicker than water of the womb." Meaning a blood covenant was stronger than fanilial ties.
Nobody may see this but, the reason Cora-san is one of my favourite characters is because of the choices he made,
He’s from the SAME background, family and situation and experienced the same horrific traumas as his brother.
It’s like a Joker and Batman situation, both humans had a day which changed them forever, Batman (Cora) Chose to stay on the right path and do good despite the horrific traumas he faced and Joker (Doffy aka JOKER) While it’s implied he was born “evil” he chose the path of hatred, anger and spite.

I found your channel a few weeks ago and I'm loving the videos man!! I really enjoy your commentary and opinions, especially on One Piece.
I don't think it's so much people can just be born evil, more so people deal with trauma in different ways,
there's an old analogy I was told as a kid that Corazon and Doflamingo's situation really reminds me of:
"So there's this family, the father is a slave to the drink, an alcoholic,
the guy's a complete asshole, the kinda guy who beats his wife and two children
the family lives in poverty, mostly because spends all their money on alcohol,
So eventually the father dies of alcohol poisoning, literally drinking himself to death.
Now when these two boys grew up, the grew up to be very different men.
one man having never touching alcohol, never had a drink in his life, completely avoided the stuff
the other turned out like their father, and lived out his days drowning in booze.
Both of them were asked what made them turn out the ways they did,
and they both responded the say way,
"How could I turn out any different?"
I guess its just the way you grew up can influence people in different ways, even if it's the exact same experience?

I stumbled upon this video just now and now that it has been years since dressrossa I can positively say that for me personally, corazon is the best character for me. He passed the time test with flying colors. As much as I love him, even kuma couldn't dethrone him

Okay I’m probably really late to being in on this, but Corazon means heart in Spanish and was the was the heart seat in Donflamingo’s family. Law also paid homage Corazon through the name of his pirate crew the “HEART Pirates” my mind was blown when watching this video.

I think ur off base, Tek; i think Oda was saying that choice was the most important thing, not that people can b born evil. Corazon went thru everything his brother did, in terms of traumatic events, but chose to rise above them, while Dofi let them pull him down letting them b his excuse to spread his pain to other. Dofi was weak, Corazon was strong.
I completely agree. Sure Dofi’s personality was that of a typical celestial dragon, but the experience of having his status taken away from him and having his life slowly go to shit because of his dad’s “noble” decision surely is what led to him pulling the trigger

Also Corazon’s fruit could be used super effectively as an assassin. Infiltration missions and such. He’s a good fighter (he didn’t try to fight Vergo let’s be real here) he’s strong but we didn’t know if head haki but I assume he does, he’d be pretty cool in the anime had he lived

God, I love this character. Rosinante is one of the greatest characters in all of One Piece. Even if he's just a backstory character, he is truly one of the most kind yet tragic characters in the story. No wonder Law took after him in so many ways.

I watched all of Dressrosa 2 months ago for the 1st time, I think it still holds up, and he's definitely one of my favorite characters in the entire series.
I'm a teacher and can tell you that the personality development of a child goes on untill the age of 5.. Corazon was still very young and always in the presence of his kind mother and father. Doflamingo on the other hand already had become a little brat like all the other Celestial Dragons..
