    I have ts60 and now tsv60 with second small scoring blade, outstanding saw. Next year there will be a tsc60 with one batterie, i saw a picture of that😉. Here in germany, we get everything first. Usa i think 6 to 9 months later.

    The reason for the metric scale being closer to the curser is to encourage you to use millimeters in your woodworking, In woodworking in my thinking, you only need one number to measure, the millimeter. Nothing to learn, just need some millimeter tape and rules. 25 mm to the inch for quick conversions. Like you I wish the saw had a plug it cord, however I'll take the power powerful motor as the price to pay. Thanks for sharing for thoughts on the saw.

      I definitely understand where you are coming from I purchased my Kapex UG stand in the metric version after a bit of deliberation with myself.
      Though it may change in the future I will be using both units of measure despite that causing an unnecessary level of complexity. My rationale is obviously as an American I need practice using metric as old habits die hard. Secondly for some reason imperial measuring tools from companies like Woodpecker come in larger versions than their metric counterparts.. A 26 inch square in imperial is only offered in 600 mm. A 32 inch T square is only offered in 610 mm. I do not understand the science behind that. I like to have the larger capacity for when I need it.
      I a happy with the power of the saw as well.

      @@daddysharespace here are two tools that have helped me: Wiha 61602 MaxiFlex Folding Ruler, Metric, Outside Reading & Advent Vice Versa 5m x 25mm Metric Tape Measure Dual Printed Blade - ATM4-5025VV. You don't even have to think about the metric system, forget meters and centimeters, just use millimeters. One number to rule them all. One aspect of the saw is the blade options, all with the same kerf and being the same blade as used in the Festool table saw.

    FYI, someone on the FOG (Festool Owners Group) already fitted the US TS 60K with a Plug-It cord. IIRC, it was a direct install, just need the parts.

      Thanks for the info. I come across people who have converted the Mafell and the Lamello Zeta P2. I am not ready to void my warranty as of yet. It would be nice if you could convert it and keep the device under warranty.

    Hello sir, for a beginner, I want to make smaller cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, from wood, wood panels, plank, plywood can I use hk 55 or do I need ts60, how is ts60 it's hard to work with it, it's big, hard, does it tire you or is it not a problem? Thank you, 🙏

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would not get the HK 55 for cabinets as it is more of a construction saw for 2 by lumber. The ts60 or even the ts55 would be a better bet in my opinion.
      Thanks for checking out the video.

    Already got the Makita but probably upgrading to this soon. I just cannot get precise enough cuts with the makita cutting countertops.

      Nice. I would wait for the TSV 60 KEB. That one has the scoring blade. When it is released, if I am still employed, I will also pick that one up.

      @@daddysharespace it’s already available where I’m at but I won’t be cutting a ton of veneered goods. I just keep getting beveled cuts with the makita after tweaking everything so really I’m just looking for a premium replacement 👍
      Out of curiosity, what do you do for a living to warrant having so many tools? 😀

      My primary gig is in healthcare. That is why my skills don’t match my tool arsenal as of yet. My aim is to become proficient at making stand alone type furniture while acquiring basic DIY skills of other trades to keep myself out of debt.
      For example this guy on TH-cam who works in the trades doing finished carpentry recently was quoted 30,000 dollars for 5 windows and a door. He he has since decided to do it himself. Other than housing I believe in being completely debt free. Do it yourself control the cost.

    Here in germany we have plug it cord for the ts60 1500watt. And even the brand new tsv60 has a plug it cord on 1700 watt. Why the usa dont have one?

      I am not a hundred percent sure. On US Festool live it was stated that they did not want to “starve the motor”. Odd.

    • @AaronGeller
      @AaronGeller ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's because of the amps. In Europe, you use half the amps because you have double the voltage. The saw is 16 amps so it needs to be hardwired.

      @@daddysharespace Many thanks, the benefits of one over the other. The cost of the festool is twice the Makita's. Is it worth it?

    I heard from Festool, that the ts60 has more Power then the ts75. The ts60 has a bruschless Motor thats more effizient then the brusshed of the 75.

    • @daddysharespace
      @daddysharespace  ปีที่แล้ว

      Makes sense. Usually brushless motors are marketed as being more powerful while using less power.
