someblokecalleddave1 well you don't normally walk into a staircase. here you usually enter a living room or kitchen.

From my perspective it seems that in the USA unless you're desperately poor or choose to do so, most people on basic earnings live in vastly larger houses than we do here in the UK.

@@someblokecalleddave1 I suppose because we have more space to build on in the US we have larger homes, mine for example is 1500 square feet 3 beds 2 baths and that is not considered large.

The rooms are small not all that big and the garden needs doing, the problem with these greedy private landlords they take the piss and they charge rent right over the top at outrageous prices they charge also they dont care a dam about maintenance jobs what needs to be done & fixing around the house and damp they espect us to pay for it out of our own pockets and really speaking it should be included in the rent we are paying them, try to aviod private accommodation they rip you off if you can apply for housing association propery if you can the rent is cheaper with maintenance included with the rent.
