can you at least title them "form/s" instead of kata because kata is for karate forms and tao lu is kung fu/ chinese martial arts forms.

And in Kung Fu there are no katas? I believe they teach us stuff. But its just my opinion.
TheWolfpack kata is the japanese word for form.
"taolu" is the chinese word for form
"karate" is japanese
"kung fu" is chinese
he says he is a kungfu expert, but he is getting cultures mixed up
Now I remember, maybe he wantet to get more popularity and instead of using the word "Form" or "Taulu" he used "Kata" you are right, he is mixing the words and perhaps maybe even the techniques...

A little different from the version I know, but clearly Golden Mountain Tiger from Shaolin Do. Being that you do some slower demonstration, why not also burn it off ... 100%? That way, folks could get a better view of the "actual" dynamics, rather than dynamics with pauses.
Changing Fist Arts It is Shaolin Do, he stole all of his material from the Abq school. Grand Master Thé even took him to court, which ended with the lawsuite being dismissed. He was only a second black when he left thus the inferior quality of many of his forms
I'm a bit confused by what you mean by tiger dynamics. My main issue with him is changing the attacks and principles of the form because he doesn't remember it properly.
Doesn't quite seem like 'tiger' but rather maybe a karate kata or taekwondo poomse. btw, his friend 'Jokim'? Might that possibly be 'Joachim' commonly pronounced 'Wah-keem'? Just a thought

You're absolutely right about the meanings of kung fu and wushu but there different styles and techniques that obviously everyone gets the name of their forms as they wish cause I also took basic kung fu and they called it sanshu or sanda an shin-a...very nice techniques also. .too bad I couldn't follow up after a car accident. .

OMG! this is appalling. i find myself watching this guy just to see what utter rubbish he comes up with next....the sad thing is that not ONLY does he believe the tripe spewing form his mouth he has people paying for it...this is EXACTLY why real kungfu systems have such a bad reputation..and why more and more people choose MMA.
Actually he real reason people leave is because all people like you do is tell people what's real and whats fake, and how much your teachers are so much better. I've come to the conclusion(and I'm sure other also have) that the Kung fu world( at least online) is just like some Kung fu movies, a giant pissing contest.
Well, in this case, Jake actually doesn't know Kung Fu at all. You can tell most clearly, if you pay attention to his off hand: it is usually just floating somewhere... against his forehead, against his belly, against his chest. No martial art ever trains you to float your non-striking hand in useless places. All his forms have this in it, and even a lot of his self-defense techniques.
I fully support different martial arts. What Jake does is not one of them.

It is very comprehensive leaving no stone untouched. It is the “Hell’s Kitchen” of martial arts.

Is this for excercise or do you actually think this will work? Fight a boxer, a jiu jitsu fighter, a wrestler, a muay thai fighter, even a taekwondo fighter if you win against just one of them then you can say this martial art could work maybe if the opponent is unexperienced.

Your right I am really getting into the martial arts I think they many of them are cool Mauy Thai, Kung Fu Taekwondo, all styles are effective if one practices hard enough and trains correctly

I think alot of people might just be wondering now to Jake Mace, why is it that when he shows martial arts of a heavy calibre such as Tiger Kung Fu, or HU-QUAN, but his build is so slender?
my answer to that is simple, I remember the earlier videos he had shown were Taichi and of softer inner fist type style / softer style of Kung Fu and by doing that for prolonged periods of time your physiology will change accordingly.
which will also show why practitioners of hung gar have big slabs of muscles
I am at awe with Jake Mace's agility and precision of execution of moves even the shaolin bicycle kick and so forth, I do humbly request that for future videos and lessons, please stop calling kung fu forms "kata's" it's very offensive to the kung fu and chinese community and it sends a very bad message to punters who are just learning martial arts, imagine if a 14 yearold kid watched your video, went to school and get into a heated argument to his friend that did some other kung fu trying to call what he's doing a kata and they get into a fight in school
it's only going to cause chaos and viewers will question your authenticity if you keep addressing a chinese martial art with a japanese word like "kata"
I mean you wouldn't call a kick a "Geri" and you wouldn't call a throw a "Na-Ge"
so why call a form a "Kata"? makes no sense at all.
i think this a kind contemporary martial art demontration ,modification of tradisional martial art and nothing wrong wth that . Mr jake hv high creativity and we should solute him.
What's this one called? 'Blind Tiger Rakes Claws in the Air Pointlessly'?
I mean, strikes, grabs, pulls, are one thing... but when you leave your arm out, and just swirl/flail your claw around, that doesn't exist in real Tiger Style. You kept doing that too! Additionally, you're not supposed to just... hold a tiger claw all the time, with your hands. Techniques use tiger claw, but everything else isn't usually in a 'resting tiger claw'. You even concluded your form with a standard breath in... but with Tiger Claw hands!? You are definitely making shit up too hard!
AND PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR OFF HAND! In every form you do, it's always just floating somewhere awkwardly. Bring it in to your side chamber, or hold it properly like a legit block, just do SOMETHING proper with it! No martial art exists where you just ignore parts of your body out of laziness!
