Akira Toriyama is a true legend. I’ve also grown up with Dr. Slump and not only the Dragon Ball franchise, but his character designs for my favorite JRPG games are incredible. Such as: Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Blue Dragon etc.
Toriyama sensei, thank you so much for everything you’ve done for millions of fans around the world. You are such a genius who inspired many manga artists. For my final wish, I wish I could revive you with the Dragon Balls. My condolences from the bottom of my heart to your family and friends.

Those people are mainly those who never watched Classic. If they only knew how much Toriyana loved Classic OVER Z, they'd have an existential crisis.
Oh they will worship anything Toriyama does and even more now that he has passed. Personally I love GT and always wanted to see Kid Goku go SSJ and SSJ3. I highly doubt this show will be as good as the best parts of GT but it might be okay. I know it will smoke Super.

As a person that grew up through dragon ball and z, im sad that it has come to this but happy that a new generation will hopefully fall in love with it and continue the dragon ball legacy

Rest in Peace sensei thank you for being part of most of our childhood, gone but never forgotten.
A lot of ppl hating on this makes no sense. This was akira gift to us for the 40th anniversary. Sadly he passed but this was his final gift for us. Be grateful we get to enjoy his art.

I don't usually like stuff that is not considered "cannon" but I'll watch it in honour of akira toryama this was the last thing he worked on before passing away, in addition to the next acr in dbs manga
Toriyama never officially revealed it, but Daima must have been inspired by Naho Ohishi's spin off manga called *"Dragon Ball SD"* (SD = strongly deformed = chibi style), which is a comedic remake of the whole Dragon Ball manga in color and ALL characters are shrunken to kids and teenager size.
I can never look at Shenron the same way knowing it's the same guy who voices Kaidou from One piece. The guy was born to voice dragons it seems.
It’s kinda cute how everyone is children. Not just goku, but everyone, vegeta, hercule, bulma, supreme Kai, piccolo, ox king, korrin, frieza, everyone. It’s like a childhood remade or something

Im glad that they put SSJ4 representing GT, they said that GT is not canon, but at least they put it on the trailer as part of the history. To bad that they didn't use a version of the SSJ 4, for the beast Gohan transformation is on the name "Beast" it would have been a perfect fit. I always liked the SSJ4 transformation it was different, not like blue or ssj God (red hair), more of the same sure they changed small details but it felt like a lack of effort.
