    Another wonderfully bizarre little synth. Great to see these sorts of innovative devices!

    It’s a great sample source, and a good starting point for DIY’ers who enjoy soldering. All 4 LED’s are clock outputs. Needs a filter/VCF.

    • @mr_floydst
      @mr_floydst  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, that's a good use for this. A filter (and a bass boost!) would be nice additions to the next revision.

    I received my unit last week. Amazing. I prefer it in non-recursive mode, at the slow end of the tempo options. I agree that it is an excellent source of noise samples. but more than that, it feels like an interdimensional radio for modem-type connection strings. well done Spherical Sound Society.

      Thanks for sharing! You're right, often, simple melodies and patterns can be found in slower settings. Add a delay/reverb pedal for more serious sounding things. :)

    What are the four instruments used in the video?

    • @mr_floydst
      @mr_floydst  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A Roland S-1 and J-6, a "Vox Starstream" Guitar, a "little bear" mixer, the "Fluorine" synth and a "Source Audio Collider" delay/reverb pedal. Some of these aren't in the shops anymore. Here's a shameless influencer-y link to my Thomann page ;) www.thomann.de/de/thlpg_3wyepuh6gg.html

    It mostly seems like distracting noise

    • @mr_floydst
      @mr_floydst  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, seems like we have an "emperor's new clothes" situation here ;-)
      Tbh, the manual of the synth claims it's meant to feel like tuning through a weird radio and eventually finding something interesting (in an endless sea of possible sound/music-like sounds or noises)
      Please click this link to get an impression why some people find this fascinating (let the example run for some seconds and listen) greggman.com/downloads/examples/html5bytebeat/html5bytebeat.html#t=0&e=0&s=8000&bb=5d000001000b00000000000000003a09410782561fc45121cbdbc9c25ffffe2a8000
      The formula here is t%(t>>13&t) and this produces an ever-changing noisy soundscape with a clearly recognizable "idea".
