People don’t realize the time, effort, work, knowledge it takes just to do an AVERAGE job making a guitar. Yet, you and Cathy are professionals,Cathy with her pickups and Sean with custom guitars. Both of you,it’s seems charge enough to only cover your costs, the rest , your time, resources, knowledge is actually a donation from you both to the guitar community. I commend your generosity. Thanks.
It’s like watching a guiTARTIST at work! I always enjoy watching you work. My grandfather worked as a unionized carpenter in a famous manhattan apartment building where he made and repaired furniture for rich people like Leonia Helmsley. He also built a house entirely by himself in NJ (if you saw how little of a man he was, you’d say that was remarkable 😂). Carpentry goes back a few generations on my dad’s side. My last name even means carpenter in Polish. My other grandfather made leather shoes at a factory in Belgium after surviving WWII (three of my grandparents were from Poland). He then made leather handbags and suitcases at a factory in Portland Oregon for a couple of years after they came to the US, and later did the same thing at a factory in the Garment District of Manhattan when they moved to NY. I always wish my paternal grandfather would have been alive to see me even attempting to fix a guitar because I could totally see him offering to help me build one (with zero experience cause who needs that 😂) and then hand planing the wood himself. He did use power tools from his day, but he really loved to work by hand. Even my mom’s dad might have offered to help me learn to make a leather gig bag or hard shell case! They would have loved seeing me make my apartment dining table into a workbench - cause who needs to use a table to eat?! 😂😂😂 Can’t wait for part three! This guitar is shaping up nicely. Looks like you were really proud of your work last night on the stream as it was drying. That’s the Scarred difference: you take pride in what you’re making and strive to keep QC standards high. That’s the secret Scarred sauce big companies are unfortunately missing. P.S. Buddy is a feisty talker! You weren’t kidding! He looks like so much fun!
As a lifetime builder of homes, every aspect from concrete to cabinets, I am impressed. It takes more than most people are gonna have to do this type work. You do better than I could with my present ability of never building a guitar. You convinced me I never want to, at least from scratch. The color schemes....well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I saw the stains applied I did freak out a bit. All that work....then I thought about it. It's your guitar, you make it yours with those choices, so ,to each their own.
I started building guitars a few years ago as a means of dealing with mental health issues like depression, anxiety and many times...thoughts of suicide. 16 guitars later, am still learning. I love this channel. My guitars are all works of art...and I make them with anything that I can find...be it pots, pans, tools, toasters, chainsaw cylinder heads, hubcaps, aluminum signs, pine cones.... even moose antlers. Most times I just stare at all the guitars in my room and just think it's junk. I dont have a "work shop" per say and not a lot of tools but am working on it. I even invested in a laser engraver to help me with some tedious tasks and my soldering is getting better every time. I'll keep coming back to this channel for inspiration :-)
Would love to build a guitar but small cell cancer and chemotherapy kinda has gotten in the way of things for the last 5 months. Just finished my last round of chemo. If I survive, I'm going to modify some of my 22 guitars and update the electronics, pickups, etc. You are inspiring.
I have a suggestion for you. I am an old man that used all sort of tools in my life. I have done a lot of the task you are doing on guitars, and in the construction of custom car interiors. My suggestion is use a tool with a smaller disc, and without all the torque of a drill motor. When the lignuns in the wood get hot, the disc will tend to grab. If the tool has a lot of torque, it can make it go where you dont want it to. Cutting deeper than intended. I found that the classic 3 inch 90 degree air grinder is much easier to control. I also use a 3 inch orbital. But only sparingly.
Man, every time I watch you build something, all I can think of is if I ever won the lottery, I’d get you to build me some super sweet, one off copies of stuff I’m dying to have. But that’s for another day. Love the look of that tele style, that neck stain came out absolutely gorgeous as well as the red on that maple cap. Look forward to part 3 of this epic build. Hope the new year’s treatin’ you guys right. Until the next one…..
I DO make my own guitars! I would post a pic if I could. After your episodes with Leo Jaymes I ordered a Tele kit from Temu for $65 bux! Hopefully it arrives today.
You're a true craftsman bro , I'm working on a diy Fesley Strat kit right now. But what you do is on another level , hopefully you will start your own company here in the USA. I'd buy a guitar from you any day over a Gibson , at least I know the quality would be outstanding. ✌️🤘
Hey Sean, if Cathy gets freaked out just by you switching hands, just imagine how freaked out she might be by me after she sees me write left-handed, then pick up a right-handed guitar and play it naturally! I actually DO that weird junk!😆
I always file with both hands Born that way I am right handed but i play sports lefty . COOL hey . I love the progress on this build it is looking pretty Awesome . The fret board is wild .it is very cool. Beveling technique is very fast and proficient .Awesome work .I love the swing arch .jig

Great for Armager, he is always supportive of what you do. These are still my favorite videos.
He sure has.

He got the new CNC in the mail and has been building a guitar from scratch

nope, building my own guitar made me watch this video. lol. Great video.
Man, that guitar looks powerful like Bengal lion stripes. When it's complete, it will be a ROARING machine 👍
So badass!! That neck looks amazing!
Same for yours' lol
@ can’t wait my brother!
I never noticed your neck radius jig till now, I bet that saves on paper. Love how the neck turned out.
Love when you do these type of videos and love that neck and body. ❤️🐕❤️ Buddy is to cute 😊
I DO make my own guitars! I would post a pic if I could. After your episodes with Leo Jaymes I ordered a Tele kit from Temu for $65 bux! Hopefully it arrives today.
Come-on part III -- Looking awesome, brother!
You got it! Part III is coming!
Sean! More videos bro... We love this stuff like crack! Keep it going!
Love the guitar design. Although I’m not sure about the big groove in the top.
Absolutely Fine Art

Damn..... That thing is looking sweet!! I think I need a tele
When you got to going on that fretboard radius it sounded like a CNC mill humming away. lol.
Looking Good Brother!
nice job yet again
Freddy is a very handsome creature for sure. Great work, Sean... Is Freddy wearing a dust mask?
You did say his name is Freddy, right?
Man that thing is killer. The neck stain! 🤩🤩🤩
Nice work
I think Sean could build guitars in his sleep now since he’s built so many😊
Say hello to my little friend...
Semi-hollow body tele style
ah hell you got me bowing at my laptop screen trying to blow those wood shavings off the neck while you was drilling! lmao
Hey Sean. I’m curious as to why you didn’t use the CNC to radius the fretboard.
Faster by hand. Less chance of error as well. Sometimes machines fail in the middle of a cut.
Hey Sean, if Cathy gets freaked out just by you switching hands, just imagine how freaked out she might be by me after she sees me write left-handed, then pick up a right-handed guitar and play it naturally! I actually DO that weird junk!😆
No everybody does NOT do it lol.... The "two hand thing" Cathy! You're right!
I see you staining the neck heel. Will glue bond thru stain? I know not to paint a joint to be glued. Just wondering. I dont know.
Great question, I'm glad you asked! Yes the glue will hold thru the stain as long as it is water base.
I always file with both hands Born that way I am right handed but i play sports lefty . COOL hey . I love the progress on this build it is looking pretty Awesome . The fret board is wild .it is very cool. Beveling technique is very fast and proficient .Awesome work .I love the swing arch .jig
Dude fucking amazing conngrats!
Epic 🤘🎸🤘
Mod perhaps, but build , not likely.Leaving it to the experts.
Are you going to roast that neck, Sean??
Im ambidextrous
Ah Yes My Favorite Channel....
OMG that neck ... well stunning ... A+
