    Super excited for this one! Detail how to install a set of 2012+ Altered State Design Psycho version 1.75" extended reach forward controls with heel shifter! We also install a set of Arlen Ness heel and toe pegs. If you have ever struggled with your inner thighs aching after long rides you more than likely need extended reach forward controls to straight your legs out more. These completely cured my longer ride / highway riding discomfort. Enjoy!
    Forward controls can be found at this link below:

    Thank you for the great job you are doing and showing us all the great tips. Definitely great kit but they a bit expensive i would say. Just a bit not that much though lol

      Marin Ujka thanks man!! Greatly appreciated. Yea unfortunately there aren’t really any other options besides these, but after seeing the quality of them I can definitely see why they’re as expensive as they are. And I really needed to get my legs straighter for the added comfort

    I am thinking to get a vrod soon but I have very short. 5'5* with 27 inseam. Were you able to pull toe peg back(toward your body) as much as foot peg? My test ride was horrible due to my shortage to reach toe pegs.

    I like the controls, but answer me this. What is the purpose for installing them. What do they accomplish, or, why would I want to remove my stock controls??

      The heal / toe shifter is one of the single best mods I did to the bike IMO. And they look a lot better in all black.

      These won't specifically fit your bike, but Keith does make controls for the earlier bikes. Check out his website here for the 02-11 controls. You will not be disappointed! www.alteredstatedesign.net/2002-2011-bikes

      Marin Ujka they do not come with pegs. I bought mine second hand, but new and the seller had already bought pegs so I used those

      I’m sure you probably already know this, but there’s a mid-control set up, which moves the controls back a bit. They were available directly from HD, if I remember.

    looks a lot better, BUT that will not solve your issue with the pain in your hips, the wind will still try to push your legs out....I've tried all different kinds if forward pegs and they all do the same....its the position we are riding 🤷‍♂️....i tried different motorcycles with mid controls including a muscle and i did not get that pain...

    • @jfisher99999
      @jfisher99999  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Antonio Delgado so far I no longer have any issues with hip pain personally. My legs are significantly straighter so they naturally dont want to “fall out” on longer highway rides. I’ve had bikes with mid controls as well and I definitely didn’t have any hip pain, but I personally like the forward controls for this bike

      @@jfisher99999 i like the forward controls too on mine , im not changing them😊...i did however put extra pegs where the midcontrols go, to use on long trips on the highway 😁

      @@jfisher99999 i made the mount myself , first out of cardboard to see see where hole's to mount was...then out of heavy steel, with some spacers ( because i have a 300 tire mount) so the swing arm comes out more) and bought cheap highway pegs that foldup when not in use... the holes are right underneath both sides of the swingarm already its just a matter of making a mount and painting it...i went with heavy metal to make it stronger and not bend when i stand on it....i could send you some pictures if you want...look me up on facebook " tone delgado" and I'll send it on messenger...
      im sure I've seen mounts for it already too but they were expensive and i would still have to modify it, because of my swing arm and exhaust on the other side , so i decided to just make them....not hard at all...
