The Brothers look at one of the best drummers in the world showing off his versatility with something unexpected. They look into what makes the performance stand out from what you might expect from such a high caliber drummer.
It wasn't a contest. It was his performance at the Meinl Drum Festival. He also did a free form solo at this performance and someone actually wrote a song to it!
Yeah, I don't think that Eric Moore (the original drummer) is even sweating. You should watch him play it. He's an absolute monster

I don't think so hahahah you obviously haven't heard the entire Animals as leaders discography, I highly doubt Eric Moore is able to WRITE and PLAY some very intricate parts in their songs

I would at least consider the idea that ANY drummer smokes Matt Garstka, absurdly hyperbolic and at least misinformed.
While you could say Eric Moore is a better pocket drummer or that he is "tighter" than Matt (though I can definitely give you examples against that theory)
Matt is without a doubt more versatile.
I can give you 5 genres or styles Matt does as well as anybody.
Eric Moore, to what I've ever seen, sticks to what he's good at.
I'll show you 2 genres from Matt for every 1 you show me of Eric Moore.
Maybe even 3
To add to this,
Matt just blasted over get yo freak on.
Show me ANYONE ANYWHERE doing the same thing to any animal's track.. I'll wait.
Or a Victoria track..
You put that kind of timing in front of any drummer, they're sweating their ass off, idgaf who it is.
