Jane Seymour’s father was my mother’s ob/gyn and looked after my mother for 5 years after she had a traumatic birth with me. My mother remembers him very fondly as a kind and very caring man. Thanks to his care my mother was able to have my brother 4.5 years after I was born.
Joe Lando was already growing his hair long for the part of Sully when he went back temporarily to One Life to Live to replay the part of Jake to be with his on-screen wife as she lay dying. He came into her room, and a dying Megan (played by Jessica Tuck) was breathless and in awe and overcome that her Jake had made it out of being held captive somewhere (oh, you know how soaps are!) and she begged him to HURRY and carry her to the window so they could see their wedding tree that Jake had put outside there for her. As he held her at the window looking at their wedding tree, the life slipped out of her and he was holding a limp body but still continued to talk to her as if she was still there in that form. MY GOSH -- I CRIED FOR DAYS!!! That scene was so powerful and excellently done by both actors.
Jane Seymour was a celebrated film star long before Medicine Woman she was a bond girl she was in films with Christopher Reeves and many famous British actors xx
My first memory of seeing her is in "Frankenstein, the True Story" with Michael Sarrazin in the early 70's. She was compelling and unforgettable from the start!😮
Her first movie I personally ever saw her in was Frankenstein, The True Story in 1973. Can you believe it, she actually played the female monster😂 she was 19 and gorgeous, the male monster was jealous of her appearance and tore her head off
@@Positivekitten Excuse me…yes I said was and I meant it. She was my favorite in that television series. Since then I have moved on. Television is not my gig anymore.
I appreciated this video very much as Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman was one of my favorite shows ever. When I was in high school, I remember on Sundays, I always enjoyed watching Westerns on TV. I never changed as I went along in life. Up until many months ago, I watched re-runs of the "Rifleman" every Saturday. Our channels changed and that show is not offered now. I miss it very much.
The first time i watched the show, I was vacationing in Colorado with a friend. We didn't have a plan, just drove around the state. One night, we are in our hotel room eating takeout. We were flipping channels and stumbled on Dr. Quinn. I was already a fan of Jane Seymor's, and we were both struck how handsome Joe Lando was (and is). We both laughed when they mentioned the town name, because we were currently in Colorado Springs. Also, one of the reasons some people go to Mackinac Island in Michigan because of her movie with Christopher Reeve's Somewhere in Time, which was before Dr. Quinn
The show set is very different from the real Colorado Springs! There are no mountains on the TV show; no Pikes Peak looming in the background. That always bothered me even though I know it's only TV! I love the Springs - I grew up there!
Somewhere in Time absolutely one of my favorites. It was a huge 'Commercial' for Makinac Island- its a very special place, so beautiful & unique. I'm lucky to live nearby
I really liked this show and still watch the reruns from time to time. It’s nice to see the kids do well unlike it usually happens with child actors. The only person they missed was the actor who played Cloud Dancing.
In the section about William Shockley, you mixed in clips of Joe Lando. Also, there were several times that you said that someone was in a show or production after they were on Dr. Quinn, when the show or production was many years BEFORE Dr. Quinn.
He was born in Pawhuska , Oklahoma and died at age 71 , in dec 2021 For his time on Dr. Quinn, Sellers is credited as the show's Native American consultant. His other roles included the "Naked Indian" spirit from Wayne's World 2.[1] His final film role was the Osage Non-Hon-Zhin-Ga in Killers of the Flower Moon, released after his death.
