Got no time for people or bands cashing in on other singers/groups by imitating them. Go and buy the records by the original artists and stop lining the pockets of these fakesters! If they have real talent, they'll make it on their own merits, with original material. I suspect that most tribute acts (and most people generally) have no idea that their tributes could be in fact, a violation of several areas of law.
Don’t agree! A lot of the original acts don’t play live anymore. It gives people the opportunity to experience the music live. The vast majority of tribute acts I have seen have been excellent. The “Rumours of Fleetwood Mac” tribute band is actually endorsed by Mick Fleetwood himself!
Every actor in every film plays the part of a character, many of them from real life.... Tribute acts are no different... just entertainers playing characters using their additional musical talents to entertain, and Dirty Harry do that particularly well.
