When I was kid the Discovery channel and Animal Planet used to be all about animals and there were tons of shows about animals. Nowadays it's all garbage "reality" TV. I miss the old days.

Also, I can't help but believe with the exception of the main one (on the back) or two lions, they weren't hungry. 14 lions vs. a baby lion?! C'mon. That's 14 friggin' lions! If they were hungry they would have been a hell of a lot more aggressive. Frankly, that being said, this was miraculous for the elephant. He wasn't even injured.

Yeah, I found it very odd they weren't taking the elephant down quickly. If they were truly hungry, it would have been dead. Kind of funny how they were running around in the water though.. almost seemed playful of them.

This proves that in nature will is everything, that elephant didn't take time to sit back he just wanted the lions to get off his back. Kinda surprised how animals are just like humans, the other lions where just spectators while only 3 were willing to do the work, if they all got in the elephant wouldn't stand a chance but they all had mob mentality and ran away when the leaders did. That elephant got lucky they didn't fight back.

If any Elephant reading this -
1. If you face any lone lion or lioness always stand facing toward it, don't try to run unless your herd is nearby.
2. If you got ambushed by a wholeass pride....
If it has a male lion... always face them first
If only females are present, then identify the most aggressive one likely to be the queen Don't let her reach for your back.
3. Even if anyone got hold of your lower back (like standing on their hind legs and holding you) then remember they want to climb upon you and make you vulnerable... and in that case my friend...very important don't run straight but instead spin around they will supposedly fall.
