I used to have a bongo with a rock n roll bed. Wasnt to comfy but managed to go to wales and cornwall in it when the kids were small. Had a stand alone awning. Great for weekend trips ...p.s im having a binge watch as taken the week off from the van lol xx
hi im looking at a bongo and see you now have Renault i think mwb ,and contemplating larger, with each size theirs a trade off ,but for me at mo small ,easy parking, and rural green lanes are out with the bigger vans ,automatic is nice, the big vans are a pig to park and loads of restrictions with length ,id look more to making the space bigger by a fold up seat bed also alot sit in the van looking inside make the seating so your taking in the views inc rear ,pop top on bongo ,wind and climate ,a problem but barriers are ok but a hard top high roof option is available ,bongo sounds thirsty compared to a bigger van but at most it would be mwb for me, your van has had a knock but its nowt and its life will end naturally from use so id wait and save for another van but think back to the bongo ,i bet you both enjoyed driving it which is more a gain the smaller is more faff but as long as yer can get a brew on and a good nights kip and keeps yer minimalistic you soon tire of moving something you dont need any thoughts thanks sam
@@samfletcher222 yes definatly agree about keeping size down as we want to make sure it parks in a parking bay for sure as we are also thinking about our rural parkups so not going for anything overly big we going into many a beautiful location with the the mwb so if going bigger it will only be by a small amount 🙂 as for the fixed bed have to admit we love it 🙂 thanks for watching safe travels 😀
@@itsanomadslife hi thanks for reply i see your point with fixed bed but it takes up a van space wise deos open a garage area but myself i dont want to be carrying loads of clutter, the beauty of a small van you aint got space so you keep minimalistic ,keep the option of you both driving if one falls ill ,you got a way outta van your both comfortable to drive with, its parking thats the problem and if you like the wilds the single track green lanes are hard work. most who own a bongo seem to be in bigger vans so it has got me thinking as i wouldn't rule out mwb at the most with high top to stand upright all food for thought cheers sam

The only negatives about this vid are the apologies: honestly, no-one cares about untidy drawers sweetie 🧡 I'm in the middle of converting a Bongo: it's hard work, a lot of trial and error and, tbh, I'm making it up as I go along, but I'm so looking forward to the rewards of freedom and going where I like. I love to see what other people are doing, and I love the relationship between you two.
Hi Dan although we loved the bongo we decided to do a full van conversion on a Renault master more standing room ,easier with our large dog and we wanted a fixed bed but bongos are great 👍
@@glynscothern3876 we got a relnault master mwb that does around 35 mpg conversion is also on our channel needed a little more space with our dog she's getting bigger now

I had a Cello TV - I dropped it 1 foot onto a duvet and it smashed the screen so I never bothered again.

Hi George I brought it second hand ,it was a thule type but wasn't wide enough so I cut and extended with alloy tube
