Good work Coops! Really getting a natural look there. A few texture hints- For super smooth place glad wrap over the areas you want and pat gently with a sponge. Let it cure and remove the gladwrap. For rocky pocked texture pat on rock salt to the surface when wet. After the cement has cured dissolve the salt with warm water. A more dramatic look can be done with styrene ( bean bag) balls. Pat the balls into the wet surface coat. After curing hit the surface with a heat gun . The styrene will shrink and can be scrubbed away with water and a toothbrush.
Looks great! I’m curious about the temps on top and under the rock, if the foam insulates the underneath area enough to add another option for the lizards to thermoregulate.
Love the channel! Really informative, and really cool builds! How're you able to keep blue tongues together. I've always heard theyre aggressive if kept together.
Have you tried grout instead of cement? I really like using grout, I feel like I can make it thinner then I’d with cement. But maybe that’s all in my head 😀 another great video. Thanks for sharing
Mate I remember you mentioning some of your mountain dragons that bury themselves…how long does she stay underground for? Mines been gone for a week under the soil
Very well made exactly what i was looking ..just have a quick question What is the brand name of the cement using the brush and the second cement using your hands those 2 methos are so affective.????
I’m really want to despreatly build this fake rock this way for my blueys because around Christmas this year there ready for breeding and I want to move them to outside tanks for breeding but while there there I’m gonna renovate there tanks there currently in now 🙂🙂
This is one of the best rock tutorials, most realistic I think
Fantastic carving that shows no difference between real and faux rocks.

I recommend you watch my new stimsons python enclosure build video. It really shows how good you can make this rock work look!

Would you please be able to tell me the products and ratios you used? I’m in Australia so can get these products from Bunnings :)

Nice vid keep it up
You forgot to add some lichen to your rock
Also use a natural sponge to colour your rocks 😁👍
This one is for my homie Split
Or, a more easy way: just go get a rock, wash it.... finish :)
