Very late to the party here but a note on chocobo racing. If you take the time to make a perfect chocobo with the best build (which, is admittedly A LOT of time) you can all but guarantee a 1st place every time on the highest ranking. This beats out the minigames at a little over 1000 mgp every 2 minutes. While waiting for the 30 second queue you can play cuff a curr or any other quick minigame you are most comfortable with for an extra 80 (im assuming not perfect play). Additionally, you will have access to the chocobo challenges, which pay 20k-30k and are a one time thing (they are also modified by the +15% squadron item) for about 350k mgp. Substract mgp costs of training the chocobo, which can be a lot but let{s put it at around 100k. I´d say realistically you'll be earning about 500mgp every 2 minutes from the best minigames ( the timer is one minute but the delay between plays and double downs plus menuing will make it about 2 minutes). That is unless, you are a gamer god and can consistently win at the highest difficulty but I think 99%+ of people cant do that. At least I know I cant, but hey, if you have superhuman reflexes and hawk eyes go for the minigame. Now, you WILL earn some mgp while training your chocobos but lets assume it is nothing (or about the cost of feed for your final chocobo plus other costs for speeding up the leveling of previous ones). That means about 16 hours of racing and 40 hours of breeding without profit that you will have to make up for racing your perfect little boy/girl. Except not really since you got 350k in those 16 hours from the challenges (the minigames would´ve gotten you 480k but you are still not that far behind) and you can run instances and do anything else while waiting for the breeding during those 40 hours (40 hours also assumes worst case). It{s all profit and the fastest mgp per minute excluding timegated things from there though. And if you suck at leap of faith ( like me) it will take you more like 6+ minutes. I also somehow always miss one bronze target at the shooting game.
If you have your squadron levelled, you can maximise MGP gains even further. I highly recommend having them run 'counter-magitek exercises' for a few weeks. Successful runs will give you 10 Gold Saucer VIP Cards, which are a +15% on all MGP earned from attractions for 2 hours. Every Saturday, I wait for the jumbo cactbot to complete, pop a VIP card and get there within the hour for the extra MGP from the early bird bonus. Right after I'll do the fashion report and my daily mini cactbot. This will get the most out of the card that day. Plus you can do some GATEs too or mini-games as it'll also boost MGP from there too. Alternative MGP boosts if you can't get the cards are FC buffs. You can activate the level 2 FC buff for a +10% boost, or the level 3 for a +15% boost. The level 3 fc buff is a pain to set up though, which is why i recommend the cards over it.
To add to this (a year later, but meh) it is possible for squadron chemistry bonuses to include bonus MGP upon successful completion of a squadron mission.
I want to note abit as Mahjong player. better play it in Duty Finder Matching. Not the NPC. Coz those NPCs are way too strong compare to new entry player.
That is a great tip! That is not something I specifically considered, but it can be hard to determine if the bots are good if you aren't entirely sure how to play in the first place! 😂 Thank you for the tip!

This is great advice! Using the buff from the squadron for this is probably often useful, since I rarely see FCs use the MGP boosting action!
