- Amboseli super-tusker elephant "Craig" and friends close to an Amboseli waterhole. Craig is one of the last remaining super-tusker elephants in Africa , one of the other elephants in this video would also be considered a tusker, despite the broken tusk. Luckily Amboseli elephants are well protected and Craig has passed on his genetics many times, there are tuskers of both sexes in Amboseli and quite a few of the young tusker bulls will probably reach super-tusker status as they age

Craig used to be in the company of Tim the other famous big tusker of Amboseli, who died of natural causes at 50 years old, in 2020

Is there 2 super tuskers here? What's there names? Elephants are like children. They are all the most magnificent beings in the universe. But OMG the Super Tuskers defy description.

I am curious to know.. How do these bulls establish whos dominant? Does the biggest tusk mean dominant/leader as a general rule? I am aware they will fight for females it how is social dominance established and does the size of the tusk have anything to do with this.. You can clearly see some of the lesser tusked bulls are larger than the one with the largest tusks...
Age, the younger bulls learn from, and defer to, the older bulls.
