    I had a 750SF, a red 3CE and a 79 Jota, orange, silver frame. My favourite, of all the bikes I've owned in more than 50 years of riding. A true icon. JUD30W, where are you now ?

    I bought a 750 sf1 when I was 19 years old I am 66 now and I still have it.

      I bought my 1200 TS Mirage in 1982 when I was 24 years old, now I am 66 and I still have it too. You have beaten me on the length of time... 🙂👍

    Was the 1000cc 120 degree triple motor mentioned ?
    I owned an SC2 750 for many years . For some reason mine had a vibration that caused exhausts to come loose or even fall off . Lol But mine was an exception I know ; mortgages , growing numbers of kids ... I bought new SFC pistons , the rings come separate , to match the secondhand SFC cam . Oh yes ! The bike would now raise its front wheel when carrying a pillion when changing from first , sometimes second . I took the SF2 carbs ( the SF2 head is the same as an SFC head as standard , but differing carbs I think , but same diameter ) apart and disabled the accelerator jets to have peace of mind . The bike was very stable and yet would lean forever . I would use the excellent Brembo twin disks in the bends with confidence . I did hate parting with mine for sure .

    Magnífico reportaje, sólo añadir que las primeras 1.000s se las conocía por ser "cabezonas" al tener el lanzamiento de horquilla muy cerrado y en las curvas "se te ponían de corbata"

    I got the opportunity to have a short (about 10km) ride on a Jota back in 1979. At 120mph on a short (5km) section of dual carriageway it started a gentle fish-tailing weave so I shut it down and cruised back safely. I always wondered - what would have been the cause of this? I was quite a lightwieght rider so I did wonder if it might have been insufficient rider wieght? Does anyone know? The 900SS Ducati ('76 model) that I rode not long before was like sitting on a concrete ironing boad at 130mph on the same stretch of road, so direct comparison like for like.
    I also have an abiding memory of meeting a girl who had run out of fuel on a Laverda Montjuic near London in 1978. I gave her a pillion lift to the nearest petrol station and back. Never forgot her - she was young, petit, pretty, wearing snug fitting black leathers and had all the right shapes in all the right places. Laverda could have done well if they'd known to use her in their advertising!

    I have a 2004 Kawasaki Z750 twin which produces 104bhp as standard, more than a Laverda 750SFC. It is faster in top speed and acceleration and its handling and braking are far better too. To top that, it only costs one tenth the price of a Laverda 750 !

      You have, of course, ridden and owned an SFC or 3CL or a Jota? And used it as your daily ride? Bikes are like women, yours is a wife, and a good one. My 3CL was a lover. And lovers are different. I know because I had a lovely wife and a lover at the same time as I had my Laverda.
