AGGGTM is ascension tier for me. I found out a couple months ago that details were changed for the American version (like the setting and some of the language) and I feel like that takes away from the true essence of the book a bit. It makes sense and suits the original British setting. But yes I’m so obsessed with that trilogy and I am so hyped for the show!

I agree so much with Fourth Wing, i truly don't feel anything for the protagonist or the "love-interest" or any character at all. The topic is so interesting and you could have done a lot with it, but the fact that this college just kills their own students but is short of soldiers just makes me want to slam my head into the wall. Xaden is the most boring, flat and unsurprising YA Fantasy Hottie ever and Violet has the personality depth of a twig. I really, really wanted to love it because i love CollegexFantasy settings, but this was the most foreseable, flattest piece of literature i've read in a long time.
not to mention the lightning and windows shattering during the spice scenes. gross. but agree the setting is so interesting, could've been a better book

fourth wing is good if you completely ignore the romance. the spice is so cringe I wanted to throw the book but I love dragons in fantasy books and IMO they did that part well.
if you’ve read rebecca by daphe du maurier or seen the film adaptation (like i had multiple times as a kid) then verity is not a shock and is kind of a cheaper knockoff of it (sorry!)
btw......... can you please please please read the emperors edge series, i swear literally no one knows it exist T_T it has one of the best found family and slowburn ever (its also heist ?! like rag tag team of underdogs, and i think the first book is FREE on kindle, damn i sound like an advertisement sorry o_O
