Scoliosis is a three-dimensional curvature of the spine with a rotational component. It needs to be 10 degrees or greater on a Cobb angle measurement to be considered scoliosis.
When talking of levoscoliosis levo means left so a levoscoliosis is bending to the left. It is most common in the lumbar spine. What makes it unusual in the thoracic spine is it bending towards the heart.
The most common causation of scoliosis is idiopathic scoliosis, which means there is no known cause, and this makes up about 80 percent of all scoliosis patients. The remaining 20 percent is made up of neuromuscular scoliosis, congenital scoliosis, degenerative scoliosis, and traumatic scoliosis.
Symptoms of levoscoliosis, include uneven shoulders, hips, and posture deviation tends to be the first sign in adolescents. For adults, it tends to be pain, low back, sciatica, and at times loss of range of motion.

I was diagnosed today with slight Levoscoliosis. I got x rays taken because a few weeks ago I had a severe muscle spasm that left me incapacitated for several hours. Apparently my L5 disk is showing slight signs of degeneration as well.

I was diagnosed with Thoracolumbar Levoscoliosis with degenerative disc disease at 33, I’m 38 now, I was only given an anti-inflammatory by my doctor and no other advice. Should I worry about it affecting my heart or any other organs?
