Played genshin since kokomis first debut and i can proudly say i would have NEVER EVER EVER gone through a story they gave me the complete ability to skip.

@@nonamenolife2635 yeah my launcher wasn't working properly either. But I went back from Windows 11 to Windows 10 and the launcher fixed itself. Maybe you can try that if you have a PC, but of course everything gets deleted. That's the only way to fix the launcher as of now for me.

Seeing the hotfix updates after the main updates made me loyal to warframe even as a newer player just because i know from proof that they're immediately competent and actively looking out for bugs (granted there's still some stuff but that's better than radio silence)

Yea bro argued like my narcissistic brother and i could see every garbage tactic from a mile away. Nearly none of the dozens of points he hopped around to held ANY water, and when he eventually made a remotely reasonable one, surprise surprise, they actually agreed, right up until the chatter remembered he hated teccy and NEEDED to disagree with him
so, I watched this video and I can see a genshin stan when I see it, all of my friends played this game and alot of us are above union level 30 and we have all had a blast with it. Its very hard to not compare this game to genshin because it fixed so many issues that we were all accepting as a normal thing (within genshin) that now that we don't have to deal with it anymore (things like running out of stamina and falling to death, things like flying into a cutscene just to find out that you died because you dropped from midair) this game feels super refreshing
I also played this game for the combat, not the story. At this point I could care less if the story is super bad because thats all we have had for a while (minus HSR), so playing for combat is super cool, this is what people have been wanting for a long time, IMO. I hate it when I am doing parts of a story and these games go off on a tangent with so much dialogue that even SPAMMING through it will take hours just to get past it (having a skip button in this game is SUPER NICE). I also like the fact that responses for this game as far as bugs go get fixed right away. I experienced my own bug (which I later found out was widespread among players) while fighting the tactical hologram: mourning Aix where the game would target an enemy WAY off camera when it (Mourning Aix) would fly up off screen. That was fixed very quickly.
The devs can fix this game and make it super good, there might be a reason as of to why the story is doing what its doing, if anyone has seen one piece then they KNOW that it started out not so great too, but now its one of the most loved anime out there. Give this game time, let the devs do what they do and do not spread false hate. I do not want to be tagged or responded to here because I know there WILL be people who disagree with me, but thats 100% ok, everyone is entitled to their opinions, however, look at things from both angles when comparing games to each other, not a one of them is truly perfect and without some sort of bug SOMEWHERE.

Like legit the only good thing about genshin is its story and music, while the combat is so aaaass, boring and repetitive, just spam xingqiu, bennett, kazuha and your new DPS tada
While in WuWa even tho the story isnt chris nolan level of writing, the combat is so good its literally "skill issue" if you lose, dont forget the variety of attacks, air combos etc
@@quanlinglingdingle6122 No, another very important "good" thing about Genshin is lore, character design and setting. Genshin is THE anime isekai/fantasy game. That is insanely appealing to the anime fanbase and many gamers in general. Imo Wuwa suffers a bit from its lack of unique designs and the weird black/white color palette they use. It's certainly an art direction, but it feels like they were going for something similar to NieR and couldn't really nail it.
Before Genshin even came out my friends already gushed over Mona, Jean, Barbara etc, that were displayed on the website. I like Wuwa combat, but it doesn't really feel like it wants me to stay, similar to ToF. It's a bit weird because PGR and Girls Frontline nail this more "mature" look really well.
We also have to consider that the majority of Asian players doesn't really want challenging Dark Souls like combat, they play these games for 10 minutes on their phones on the way to work. The majority doesn't seem to care about combat at all and only ~10% of players even touch Abyss. Most of the players are in it for characters and exploration fun, and Genshin is still pretty good in that - all the nations have unique designs and cultures that have distinct personalities and clear vibes.
Imo Azur Promilia could be a bigger "threat". Made by the Azur Lane devs, looks really promising with its bright art direction and isekai fantasy style, gameplay seems to have some unique features for the genre as well.
Honkai impact devs rewrite story 3 times and comoensated with a ton of energy for all players...

I enjoy Genshin, I actively play Genshin. I also play HSR, and WuWa. I like them all and all have pros and cons. WuWas launch hasn't been the best but Kurogames is showing they're a competant, and dedicated dev team who want this game to succeed. I think I can safely say I know how Genshin works. It's boring AF, people who sticks to it for the story are basically kids or adults with an IQ of a kid. They get hyped up for a damn Animated short that HoYo promised 2 years ago.
It's a damn short, not a full episode and they get fired up. They are beyond salvation.
I played that garbage also and only could witstand Li ue and mondshtat, after that i literally felt ill and disgusted from how bad of game genshin was... THEY EVEN LIMITED FISHING AND THROW BAITS IN DIFFERENT REGIONS AAAAA.
after that i learn that inadzuma had power spike in difficulty and shit story, so i went to sumeru and instantly quit game after i seen how unreasonably large hills in that area... Also combat was so bad that i resined to use Archers with charge attack only. Now i have genshin ptsd from how bad it was....
Mean while wutering waters felt like hybrid of honkai star rail pgr and honkai impact wich are my favorite games and story is kinda interesting also

People talking about Kuro releasing a poor quality game that needs hotfixes as if *every* major release that has online play doesn't see issues they have to deal with over launch week. There is only so much a dev team can do to prepare for launch and then they have to fix things on the fly. It's literally nothing new.
We've a fresh example of that with Helldivers 2, the devs weren't expecting the popularity the game would have, and in one or two weeks they fixed it

Honestly WuWa is already better to me because they are actually addressing stuff and fixing it. I've had optimization issues with genshin ever since it came out, but have gotten nothing to help that. I personally haven't had any optimization issues with WuWa but the fact that they are addressing it already puts it higher for me.

To be fair, the Story isn't all that great but it is at least enjoyable. That doesn't mean that it can't be improved. PGR's story also has a rough start but it gets WAY BETTER as it progresses.

Do some people think that because the story is bad in 1.0 it means that it will be bad forever? Kuro has managed to save their story before. PGR was pretty boring at first, then the first patch came with the narwhal story and it was amazing. After that from chapter 9 and onwards the games story got so much better patch after patch. With the amount of feedback given and Kuro being good at listening I have no doubt in my mind that they will create a compelling story eventually.
Imo, the story does actively get better the further along you get through it. The final boss fight was pretty fun and I'm hyped to see the next section of it while I'm practicing the amazing combat in-between.

Since their "freshmen" status is ripped off and are labelled as experienceless, most of these employees cannot find jobs. Great! Kuro literally ruined the lives of 100 workers.
Furthermore, employees are now underpaid and working overtime cause of Kuro's own management issues, but it's okay because they apparently "care" about you and are coaxing you with their sweet words? I don't recall Hoyoverse ever having such a poor work environment even during their lowest times.

@@vince4503yeah GI launch cutscenes were bugged on my experience as well, it freezes but the audio is still playing. Fortunately that's the only bug I had using the same phone I'm using Wuwa rn, in my WuWa experience is great though, only bugs are the audio cutting mid dialogue.
These communities are so toxic. Just enjoy the game bruh. Every single game has bugs more or less and the devs fix it as the time goes on. Just wait a bit for the update, play and enjoy. Stop yapping.

What I will say is that the combat feels incredible in wuwa, but it doesn’t have the same magic touch as genshin. The first time playing genshin will forever be nostalgic: fighting the dragon in the air, getting our gliding manual from amber, and trying to survive dragonspine’s frost. The characters were so alive! The environment, especially mondstadt, felt so homey and welcoming too. And it doesn’t help wuwa that it’s incredibly laggy in the open world. I’ve already long quit genshin, but I will always hold it near and dear to my heart.

Long time Genshin player here (since 1.0). I still remember all the crazy bugs Genshin had back at launch (with the most egregious being the account hacking issue prior 2FA being added) and even now there are bugs from then which still haven't been fixed (eg: the infinite falling glitch).
WuWa isn't perfect but the fact the devs are willing to fix their issues rather than treat player feedback like toilet paper to wipe their arses shows they care a lot more for the playerbase than Genshin's devs.

They like to compare WW with Sumeru and Fontaine but never dare to talk about the beginning, heck, even HSR fans don't talk about the Chinese space ship much while Chernobog was literally the meme of the dude sleeping in class and suddenly waking up when the "Cocolia Drop" happened, imagine, "Cocolia Drop" being an actual thing as if that's the only memorable thing of that Arc.
I say let WW cook the frickin story too, without Chernobog and Laofu we would not have Penacony, with Monstad and Liyue we wouldn't have Fontaine.
As a day 1 genshin player I can tell you that 1.0 Wuwa absolutely trashes 1.0 Genshin. Many players also didn't enjoy the Sumeru arc coz it felt rushed. Genshin players who keep praising Genshin like it has always been perfect only joined the game when everything was already stable.

Honestly I still love Genshin but Wuwa really did have everything I wanted in Genshin, I loved that zippyzip thing and running up walls were really fun and best, I could play on phone for Wuwa

I’ve been playing whthering waves for all of yesterday and today and honestly even though there was a few minor issues. It’s been an absolute blast I’ve been enjoying wuthering waves more than Genshin in the 3 years I played it.
True. I set lower graphics for the time being and after stabilisation in framerate it was equally fun playing WuWa as it was trying out Metal Gear Rising (one of my favourite games)
the puzzle in this game is as hard as I want ,, I really wanna those puzzles that make my brain overheated XD I like it
The exploration and combat just feels so good. Having a grapple hook, double jump and (the best of all) being able to run up walls is just amazing. And the combat is pretty addicting every character feels just good to play along with the Echos mid combo. Pretty damn fun.
So thats what kids hating on tectone looks like 😂
Just to make this clear, I’m not a defender of WuWa nor Genshin. I like both games and I play both games everyday.
But Tectone is just straight up lying when he says “he only skipped the story because he already experienced it in the beta test”. From what he says, he claims to skip the story because he’s only experienced it from the start to around the moment when he meets Scar…
But then, you see him in the Acts AFTER that encounter literally SKIPPING the story content when it has a skipping option. So Tectone’s just straight up lying, lol.
You want proof? Look at the moment he enters the Grand Library (the place where he has to ring the five bells). He literally skips the dialogue at the start before you even do the puzzle.
Not only that. Since he keeps the story on auto play, he literally misses out on the story dialogue whenever he opens up X/Twitter to look up other people’s posts. I’m not calling Tectone a hypocrite or anything… but he ought to practice what he preaches. If you can’t follow through on what you say, then don’t say it at all. That makes you a liar.
To me, the biggest cons of Wuwa:
1 . I can play HSR and Genshin on mid settings, but Wuwa on the lowest settings is barely playable (too much stuttering... My poor potato PC).
2 . Echo Challenge: Cruisingwing (Gold) ...makes me so mad, and I want to destroy the world....
That usually almost always happens on new releases for a live service game. They are rarely optimized. Its a combination of so much issues but one of the big one is its better to release earlier and start making money than later as its very expensive already developing the game also its easier to optimize when u have actual feedback so u can focus on ones that people complain more about instead of wasting more resources on less relevant ones.

A big reason why you can play Genshin and hsr fine is because of the game engine, optimization can still fix lag issues but if you still did not meet the minimum requirements that means you should expect tech related issues.
Furthermore, software relies on hardware (computer components) which can dictate how the game functions well on your computer. Genshin and hsr aren't computing power hungry games and most non-gaming pc can run genshin and hsr, while other games like elden ring, needs more computing power to function the application software.

The combat still needs some work. For example, stance change ults shouldn’t have a timed duration, but be limited to a certain number of attacks. This way, you can time the perfect dodge or parry without missing out on the enhanced damage.

I don't get why people are trying to act as though Genshin didn't have issues on launch, or that its story wasn't fairly average in the beginning. Go back to any of the early Genshin cutscenes and tell me they genuinely look better than Wuwa's, or that the whole Mondstadt arc is genuinely good.
Also genshins issues were arguably worse because the majority were security risks. People could straight up see your personal info on the log in screen, and people were getting hacked left and right. I think having a shit dub and poor optimization is leagues above having huge security risks that weren't fixed until patches later.
I recall someone covering the possibility that Hoyoverse sabotaged WuWa's ENG dub via non-compete contracts resulting in WuWa not having many of the HSR/Genshin talents that were in PGR.
I tend to agree with Teccys opinion on things and I still do one thing that's got me confused this time is why he's assuming that people calling out issues in Withering Waves automatically means they think Genshin is better... is just a very weird view imo. Both games have issues its fair to call both of them out and compare them. Wuwa having performance issues regardless of whether Genshin did or did not should not matter, and we should complain about it until it gets fixed. The happy news is that Kuro games, unlike Hoyo, actually respond to feedback, so let's hope for the best.

When genshin came out, it had a TON of bugs and it STILL has bugs. Genshin story pulls the player in untill Lyue's arch, after that is an absolute drag of repetitive meaningless dialogues and circular actions ( culminating with the samsara nightmare in sumeru) and 4 years in, has not progressed an inch. WuWa story moves forward, not in circle, for now at least, the writing has faster pace and WAAAY less repetitions/fluff. Kuro improved the writing a lot since PGR, what has to be seen is IF Kuro will be able to capitalise on the absolute immobility of genshin or not.

Tec is still fighting the ghost(and Ratsu) that caused him so much stress from 2 years ago. CN gacha companies are slowly pivoting away from giant sandbox and focusing more on intimate in-game experience (a.k.a fanservice and general QoL improvements) due to open-world fatigue (i.e. Genshin borrows QoL updates from HSR, Snowbreak doubles down on the lewd, etc.) Azur Promilia may be an exception because it's likely been in production before the shift.

@@nikel_gamer9604i have an iphone 12, with ww as the only game installed, with the lowest settings, and it lags every five seconds. goes from 90 ms to 999. its actually crazy, and dont get me started on how badly it effects the combat. the fast travel loads slower then it would be to js walk to the destination. they need to do a png instead of js loading everything in like genshin does, thats why genshin runs so smoothly, bc they only load in when u get closer, ww loads in everything and makes the game super laggy. and at the lowest setting there is too much detail that has to be rendered that js makes the game way way slower
