@@joshjohnson8584 Tower of Adversity and high level holograms absolutely require great stats, on both subdps and main dps. At least the support doesn't need much, but the others need a lot. There's big dps checks in the game, but we're also not even at max level, so we're missing a lot of stats still.

Here is the thing 44111 can evolve into supplying 2 diff chars later on if you get great rolls on the pieces one of the 4's and one of the 1's can then be later transferred to a new character you have or when they release. The 44111 is a great Idea for early game pre-40 and maybe the first half to 50 this all depends what the farming consistency is of the player at hand. With that being said I am pretty sure all content that is available right now can be cleared with 44111 with ease if you can stay alive. 43311 is going to give you the absolute best stats over all at this time unless something changes, however it is going to be a difference when compared apples to apples like same substats vs same substats on all 5 echos.
44111 will take you to endgame and set you up nicely until you have the resources or time to farm everything out to completion.

TLDR: Start with 44111 (bis set for x character) and farm a really good 411, and then later transition to 43311 with the same set.
No, start with 43311, using off set 3 cost echoes. Replace them once you get the on set echoes, and done.

@@angellopez5315 Dude it's not hard at all... at rank 35 I have multiple gold dmg% echoes for each element. All you have to do is explore and kill every monster you see

Maygi released a video on Encore's 44111 vs 43311. I think it's very valuable to take a look at that video considering apparently there exists a world where characters with high enough dmg% can actually do better with 44111 vs 43311.
This can be true if they gain a lot of dmg from other sources (assuming Elemental damage is the same as regular +dmg% like in HSR) just like how on Xueyi you don't build dmg cause her BE turns into dmg%.
That being said idk how much +dmg you need to dilute that and make crit more valuable, since I'm pretty sure +atk% could be better instead since I doubt that character gets both a) a lot dmg% and b) a lot of atk%.
If anyone is wondering including substats the difference was like 4% for encore
All of her math is based off you doing a worse than normal (not difficult at all) rotation which favors you doing more basic attacks than you should, inflating her argument that if you have basic attack dmg % on every piece (dumb as hell) it would then be neck and neck between 44111 and 43311. The non-normal rotation has basic attack contributing 10% more towards your total damage (normally 45%, her version 55%) so it inflates her numbers twice over. Basically she cherry picked a very weird encore specific build only to prove that 43311 is still better and is still easier to accomplish because you don't require double crit rolls on everything to make element damage % have it's full value like a critical build does.
@@Eirud yeah, it's weird to see people argue that 44111 is easier to farm so that's why it's better, and then to turn around and argue that perfect stat distribution makes 44111 better than 43311 in the long run as if anyone will roll perfect stats on 5 echoes in this economy. Don't get me wrong, I'm a supporter of 44111 if you don't want to farm your 3* or if you're super unlucky. But to try continuously double down and push 44111 as the superior option just comes off as trying to convince themselves more than anyone else, since they likely heavily invested into 44111.
43311 is the optimal end goal, 44111 is the temporary solution

You need to watch TenTen's latest video about this topic. That one pretty much seals it.
He only used 43 11 (yes only 1x 3 cost dmg%echo) vs a 44111, but still the 43 11 has the same damage output as 44111. Now, imagine if he used another 3 cost dmg% echo and make it 43311. If we're talking about accessibility there's plenty of option. Free farm, event Morphable echo, Data Merge. As of now we have two events running that gives Morphable echoes for a total of 4.
4 morphable echoes isn't enough to build more than 1 team
So you would still need to farm for 6 3cost echoes with correct mainstats which takes too much time at low UL levels
This is why people are building their electro and havoc teams with 44111 setup and building their 3rd team with 43311 setup
After reaching higher UL levels building the 43311 setup becomes much easier due to tacet fields giving more 3cost echoes so in higher UL levels building the 43311 setup might take less time than building the 44111 setup
@@DESTROYER23581 There's more events coming in the future. For now, focus on just 1 team. Seems like events that are combat-focused are guaranteed to have Morphable echoes as a reward. Given time, you'll have enough 3 cost echoes for all your units.

As someone who works full time (and whose job is not playing video games lol) I can barely get enough time to do dailies and spend stamina, plus get a few echoes per day lol (some days I only do dailies and spend stamina..)
He already has echoes with stats nice enough to get a 50/60-200
I barely have 200cr dmg and that's it, don't even look at the cr rate 💀😭
I haven't had much time to play but I can play the same amount of time he does if not more (I just was half busy like this last few weeks, otherwise I would've been completely free)
So it's just insane to think I have more free time than he does and he's still ahead of me 💀😭
he's right in what casuals are thinking and what they can reasonably expect, he is wrong in saying he is casual though. Casual are even worse off than he is which further boosts the 44111 narrative.

The thing is if u start with 4 4 1 1 1 u can transfer one of the 4 cost crit echo to another unit when u get the right 3 cost stuff.
exactly. i had 2 accounts. one farming for 44111 and one farming for 43311. 1 week of farming, I finally got a decent 43311 on my Rover on one account while my other account already built a decent 44111 Rover, Danjin and Jianxin. The account I built with 44111 cleared mobs, chests and other objectives twice as fast.

true, people sometimes don't understand that farming, leveling up, and tuning echoes is brutal on this game and will cost you almost everything. If you can gear your units faster and more efficient for now to be used then why not explore that option? sure 43311 is better but 44111 is easier to build specially if you want to clear everything asap.

Ok so, we know that:
-43311 is better damage than 44111
-43311 eventually will happen in the future with malleable echos help
which I feel like no one is really arguing in here, we know its THE best damage, but also:
-the drop rate for 3 cost is garbage outside of events, but you really want to wait for events instead of farming now and have a good enough stats?
-its much easier to farm 4 cost, you just tp back and forth instead of running around the map, they respawn super fast, and the pity is 2 instead of 4
and for people who say "why did you not have time to spend 30 minutes farming per day"
I feel like I can spend those 30 minutes better to farm 4 cost, then never touch it again or at least until there are malleable event rewards
I feel like this is just casual mindset, you get good enough echos/artifact/etc, and you just done with it, you rarely touch them again
I don't see the problem with rocking a 4-4-1-1-1 set until you grind enough and obtain a 4-3-3-1-1 set. Its easier to get and it will pull you through until you get the DMG bonus your looking for.

Tenten's channel and content is mostly specifically geared towards an audience that WANT to min-max and have an efficient/effective account catering towards the meta, so obviously Tenten is speaking for such side, if you're casual and you don't have damage bonus at all even on an off set piece, then you can just run 4-4-1-1 there's no problem, he didn't disagree with that and even tells to do it in that scenario.

Smack literally already has 2 4 cost crit pieces which is exactly what led him to making that video, because it’s infinitely easier to get a decent set going UNTIL you can build a good 43311 set.

Tacet fields actually help alot on getting the same set with the correct elemental dmg bonus, If u go to the Guide section, tacet fields there says what type of mobs are in the field and what element they ONLY drop, I have gotten 7 Glacio dmg bonus with the glacio set already and 4 anemo ones from my recent runs of the right tacet field, and add the fact, I have a CHANCE to get a 1 set with atk% aswell as the other element with the right element dmg bonus, yes, players invest on lvl,credit,materials first for early game for a permanent buffs on the characters but getting gold echoes already from the tacet field as long as u have data bank lvl 15+ gives u a higher chance of getting what you want rather than echo farming for hours and add up that u can get echo exp and tunes is already worth it enough to farm the tacet fields allowing u to build more characters echoes early on to be able to have a functioning multiple teams
I swear the problem is everyone saying that tacet fields are a scam. They really really are not. As someone who actually overworld farms 2 worlds per day (mine and my brother's) far more than half my on set elemental damage pieces come from tacet fields and rerolling echoes.
I've farmed tacet fields everyday and I still haven't got aero dmg on aero set. 😂 fk my luck
@@PyrusnVentus I personally don't farm tacet fields because I'd rather farm the overworld if I need the echos (which I don't anymore after 1 week of killing everything during exploration and questing) but I completely agree. For people who don't wanna farm the overworld, tacet fields are actually really good and we are in a state of the game rn where theres really nothing to spend your waveplates on outside of prefarming all your characters, which i don't believe is fully necessary. We've been given enough resources to focus mostly on 1 or 2 main dps without needing to farm xp and our supports and healers don't need nearly as many resources to be effective atm.
I'll do Tacet fields when I don't see green and blue rarities as a reward. I rather level up my 9 characters, their weapons, and their skill tree before i even think of wasting 60 wave plates on a tacet field only to get scammed.

Would I rather spend 60 plates on a gamble or spend 40 waveplates on materials for a guaranteed DMG increase with skill mats? I'll take the guarantee for an otherwise unobtainable (apart from 1 time shop buys) skill upgrade resource any day for the foreseeable future. With the current event everyone is kinda being forced to run simulations for double rewards 3x a day tho...
The whole point, is that 43311 is better EVEN IF IT'S OFF SET. 2 piece or 2x2 43311 is better than 5 piece 44111. That's what he's trying to say with this video. Edit: Lulz, posted that literally just before I got the point where he ranted about exactly that
ngl I was super confused. Is he saying that a 43311 rainbow set with trash substats is better than an full set 44111 with decent substats? Cause that's the only way I'd see 43311 being more efficient in terms of farming and obtaining the echos/main stats needed.
He didn't justify 443311 at all. Dude didn't even make a coherent point. First he says he's gonna explain why you shouldn't build 44111 even in early game, then proceeds to ignore that point completely.
@@kienmaple he did, esentially crit rate and crit damge are very inefficient to get you need 2 different stats to build them, if you can get crit rate to 100% then crit damage is a dps boost equivalent to its value but that is verry stat intencive to get to, beyond that 3 cost has a significantly higher damge increace then 4 or 1 so any half decent substat on any set is going to add allot more to the overall daamge than any onset 4 cost, finally the 4 is still usefull, becuase once you reach a diminishing returns damage potential. crit rate and damge will still firther increace your stats by a percentige. not to say hes 100% right but thats his logic. also its worth considering you still need the 2 set bonus for each to make this work.

In my opinion going 44111 early is not necessarily worth because you will use a lot of echo exp and it's so freaking rare as f2p that you'll end up keeping this build forever and most likely not have the ressources to swap to 43311
My take is that the issue stems from the lack of echo exp & tuners.
There are plenty of content creators showcasing the multitudes of +25 Echoes they already have but there doesn't seem to be much if any content on how they got the materials. As such, everyone's trying to get the 'absolute' best echoes in 1-go instead of slowly advancing from mediocre to better eventually best echoes.

I already said this before but I think they gave us the 5* echoes waaay to early, and have close to no materials to lvl up stuff.
The guy actually explained it very clearly. Basically, the graph shows the damage output based on the echo selection + set. A 4-4-1-1-1 (set effect) & 4-3-3-1-1 (2/2 set) is what beginners should aim when you start the game (w/o tuning). The problem is the accessibility, sure 4-4-1-1-1 is accessible but doing so is inefficient long term is what the other guy is saying. Overall as a 3rd party and for the people confused, 4-4-1-1-1 is actually valid since the goal is the "short term progress" of the game but only for "one team" because if you did it w/ the other units in your 2nd, 3rd, ?th teams then your pretty much doing it very inefficient is what TenTen trying to argue.

theres various gear in the game with various cost such as cost 4, cost 3, cost 1

I dont get this discussion? I feel like all players need to know for this is that 43311 5 set is just the best its hard to grind but whatever we're playing gacha games, and that 44111 is good lvl 30-40 cuz of the 50/50 so its harder to grind 3 costs. Anything else is personal preference but those 2 ways are the main and best ways depending on your lvl and time. So much for a 40 minute video when things can be simplified.

Idk why people love to shit on theory crafters, odds are you've watched a video or looked at infographics to help you build your characters even if you're a casual. People go to streamers and ASK for the advice so when a streamer who isn't a theory crafter or hasn't done the math gives advice that is factually wrong to people who are ASKING for the advice, its not about them being nerds or trying to show who's smarter, its literally just trying to help the people who want the help without giving them the wrong/misleading information.
If someone doesn't care about spreadsheets or math then they wouldn't be asking or engaging in discussions that involve spreadsheets and math... its pretty simple. In a game where resources are very limited, people will ultimately want to know the best way to spend those resources in a way that doesn't make them feel like they messed up and have to redo everything over a long period of time. So by design, the game itself literally promotes engaging in theory crafting and math. The people who truly don't care probably don't even know 90% of these content creators exist

14:35 the graph says, that even a 2-set piece with 4/3/3 is BETTER than 4/4 with 5-set pieces. MOREOVER the 4/3/3 set with NO set bonus at all, is STILL better than the 5 set piece 4/4. Thats insane. it really goes to show how important the Main stat is, compared to set bonus. and yes, 4/3/3 almost always beat 4/4 in most scenarios because you are using the optimal damage mainstat as opposed to maxxing out crit and using bad echoes in general.
personality, Ill def forgo the set bonus and focus on main stats for my builds now. even a electro main stat on the healing set will be better than 4/4 on my calcharo and yinlin, good to know.
It is better. The problem is you'll farm 4 cost either way. After getting the 4c pieces you'll prolly have atleast 2 good ones (if you farming different bosses you might have non dupes even) then you would start farming your 3c and 1c! So at the end of the day using those two 4c will be the only way to go until you get the freaking correct dmg bonus
@@jeremy8316 well using havoc rover as an example, if you're using crownless crit dmg as your 2nd 4c echo, that crownless is objectively useless down the road because nobody uses crownless as their main echo. everyone uses dreamless because its simply better. so farming a 2nd 4c that nobody would realistically use down the line is wasteful still.
furthermore, using double 4c dreamless would be extremely cope since the main appeal to 4/4 is to use the 5-set piece bonus, which you lose when using double dreamless. idk I simply can't find a situation where 4/4 is better damage wise, or farming wise.

Streamers will say 44111 is better/faster right now but don't realize they are going to cause people to end up wasting resources min maxing a 44111 setup when a 43311 setup without min maxing would actually end up being the faster/easier target to help you clear content faster. Also, its weird to me because people like Tectone who claim to be casual and are offering advice for casuals are pretending like they don't care about their echos but they are also the ones that are hyper focusing sub stats on their 44111 setups atm. I'm someone who loves efficiency and min maxing and to me a mid 43311 IS min maxed for the current state of the game. I get to spend less resources for more damage and can focus on pre farming for future world levels.
I think you’re the one missing the point. Most of the people watching these videos are casuals who aren’t shooting for the absolute best case scenario nor has the time to do 43311, not to mention that it requires much more xp that people simply don’t have.
No one’s denying that it does more damage, what people are arguing is 44111 is a much better value because it takes less investment and time to be good. For a game that literally just came out you SHOULD be telling your audience to prioritize convenience.

Also you are completely wrong, a 44111 with 5 set bonus with good sub stats is still worse than a 43311 set where you only have a 2 set or 2/2 set bonus with literally 0 sub stats (on the 3 costs). I can guarantee you every single person has 2 off set ele% dmg echos as long as they've actually played the game to the point where they can get 5 star echos. The 44111 has to have near perfect sub stat rolls to compete with the off set 43311. Idk about you but I'd rather use the things that are already in my inventory and just take them to max level than to keep farming bosses and wasting my resources fishing for crit on the first line or two.
TenTen's opinion is not out of touch, paying money has nothing to do with it, it all comes down to optimization. Theres just too many people engaging in discussions around whats the most optimal or efficient and are literally wrong. It's fine to build however you want if you truly don't care but to make bold claims that one way is better or worse or easier than another without actually knowing if it is or not is incredibly misleading. All casuals really need to do rn is max out character levels, weapon levels, trait levels, and get some damage echos atk%, ele%, crit, doesn't matter which then max them out, then wait for your next world level and do it again... because casuals don't care about content that needs min maxing anyway, they can clear the game with levels alone. Look at Genshin Impact, a largely casual game, and a vast majority of the people playing (the casuals) literally don't even do spiral abyss.

3 cost elementals are accessible through events. They're free as they are echo selectors. But yea as a casual player, it's fine to wait for those rewards and stick to 4-1 setup. But in gacha game everything is not really enough and you'll be wanting more.
The problem is noone has showcase a reasonable comparison between the two. Or even between 43311, 44111 and 444. I did 35k With Havoc MC with 444. So ultil someone shows a comparison with real showcase when they are all level up then I wouldn't believe anything.

When your chance of getting the right element main stat 3 cost drop per elite kill is already 0.73% (20% drop rate * 80% 5* chance * 1/11 right main stat * 0.5 set chance).
If you don't kill any other elites, your drop rate is even 25% because of the elite echo pity. (would be 0.91% per kill)
remember that 20% is kinda fake, since every 4th elite class/3cost echo is garanteed a drop so you can assume comfortably 25%
I think it's a dumb discussion because there are only 3 sets that you can run double 4s on (electro, havoc, moonlit)
- out of those 3, I think moonlit makes the most sense as a 44111 because since it doesnt' have an elemental damage type, you can share the moonlit clouds set with multiple subDPS units in tower of adversity (you can share echos and weapons between stages in tower of adversity). Also, I am gonna get the turtle boss pieces anyways because I am trying to farm the healing set for Verina.
- I don't wanna waste my time farming crownless or thundering mephis and wasting tuners on a crownless 4 cost piece that I am ultimately don't even going to use (I would rather use purple echos early on instead of farming for a second gold 4 cost) because at least I don't have to waste 50 tuners on a gold piece because the purple pieces use the advanced tuners which are basically useless in endgame.

This is a common problem amongst theorycrafters in general. Practical usage is often more relevant than theoretical usage.
Even tier list suffer from this oversight, often misunderstanding the utility or ease of use aspect of characters. (Chixia + Aalto and Jianxan can support btw if you struggle in tower, thank me later)
4-4-1-1-1 Not only is easier to farm, but still EXTREMELY valuable to create long term success for your account, ESPECIALLY right now when you have the most under leveled and unbuilt units.
Every unit (as of 1.0) will be using a 4 cost at some point. Having a spare, good sub stat 4 cost is invaluable. As you farm for 3 cost, you can replace the 4 cost and be on route to building another character immediately.
This argument is nearly synonymous with the idea of using 3/4 star weapons until you're able to get your most optimal weapon choice (The 4-4-1-1-1 argument is actually superior because of it's additional property of being useful to your account even after you achieve your BiS 4-3-3-1-1.) Do this and plan how you'll distribute your echoes and your account will be stable asf.
No hate, but TenTen seems to have these oversights regularly. Granted, practicality isn't many of these guide makers strong suits.

Fun fact, in the first days of wuthering waves, my i would just tab out and close my game, or close my entire pc to shit everything down like some sort of psycho, and next time I would go on, I'd be able to do the same challenges, open the same chests exc, while keeping the rewards from the previous ones i did before. I have no clue as to why this happened, and I told my friend that it feels so nice being able to re-take rewards the next time you log back in. But Seems like it was some sort of bug I had, or something that caused an issue. Cause in Tectone's pull video, he had explored almost everything in the map and done all the challenges, and had 17000 smth Asterite. Meanwhile I was about 50-80% exploration in every zone, meaning not a single 100, and I had 17600 smth asterite. So idk what's up with that. But on the downside I forgot to use my Waveplates the first 3 days so there's that.
TenTen give it a rest my man. We have 2-3 weeks TO GET CHARACTERS ( PLURAL ! ) BUILD. That is what gachasmack is going for. To get as much astrite out of the end game content ASAP before the reset. We can min max al we want in the YEARS to come with this game. And in that case yes 4-3-3-1-1 is superior. But right now. For every player that started day 1-3. They need Union lvl 40. Wich is going to be mere days or even hours before the reset. And lvl up enough characters/teams to get the most astrite out of that research facility/endgame content.

He says that 43311 no set will always be better than 44111 5 set in early game because all of them would eventually get replaced, 44111 5 set can only compete with 43311 no set if the rolls are so good (the curves represent the amount of damage you get when rolling good sub stats while the beginning of the line which is in the far left represents the base damage without sub stats, at least based on his graph that has no explanation whatsoever). I guess the summary of 1010's vid is "get 43311 no set early game, call it a day, then farm 43311 5 set late game" which battles the 44111 5 set early game guides.

I think the easiest way to fix this is to change the full set requirement from 5 to 4 pieces.

Literally all it would take to make the 3-cost ones not absolutely abysmal to farm is to make it impossible for them to roll a different element from their set. Set a rule where the fusion set can't roll glacio damage, electro set can't roll havoc damage, so on and so forth, and we'd be in a much better position to feasibly optimize our builds. Why would it EVER be possible for an elemental damage bonus to roll on a set that is a totally different element? Kuro fucked it up, bad. 44111 saves me from having a fucking stress induced heart attack when building characters. Until Kuro makes 43311 practical to obtain, I'm not gonna bend over backwards trying to build it.

Anyone refreshing as f2p will definitely not stay f2p. It means their patience is so thin that they can't wait a few days for something. Once they get bad luck on gacha, which everyone will at some point, their small amount of patience will cave immediately.
8:10 what is this ? 100 with 144% is 144 ? Am I missing something ? Because my math tells me that is 244 and what I have read crit dmg is an actual multiplier which would make the number 244. So if you're trying to find an average with this, now you'd have to sum up 100 base with 244 crit dmg which is 344 devided by 2 and you get a different result.
Us casuals aren't lucky enough to have steamer jobs so we don't really play for several hours a day that's what makes us casual,if you playing the game 7+ hours you're a hard-core player you're just not a sweat because you didn't push end game immediately
People don't understand the difference between farming 44111 vs 43311 is a problem of accessibility to the rare ideal echo, not resource cost.
Sure 43311 echo set is far better, but if it takes you 6 months to achieve vs taking only a single 1 months to complete a 44111 set. The 44111 set is there as a placeholder for casual players to a usable set for them to beat end game easier. Casual players will not spend hours of their days to farm 3 cost echos.
Casual players are mostly doing their 4 cost battles for resources to level up their characters, skills, weapons, etc., and manually getting a bunch of 1 cost echos doing the quest in the game. That's why 44111 is being recommended to casual players.
This is the same problem I have in HSR. It takes me more than 1 month as a minnow to get a good relic piece, while if I just go for a very subpar relic piece will take me a few days to get per piece. It is a placeholder set to let me beat end game content with the bare minimum relic set, while I continue to try to get a better piece to gradually replace each piece.
