It's finally time to start the Asia & Pacific Regional Finals. Eight very talented players have traveled from afar to compete for five spots in the World Cup in September and claim the title of the best player in Asia & Pacific.
Today, we're looking at GROUP B where zi8gzag, Leero, Eamonn and Kirania will compete.

@@Saugatgg There are two groups, top 2 of each group advance to the semis as well have a guaranteed seat at the world cup. The third place of each group, play against each other for the one final seat to the world cup. Total 5 seats from this tourney to the world cup. It's not rocket science

After each round, cameramen run into the players and shove the camera, making them feel awkward; instead, set the camera to a constant position, similar to the facecam. So the player does not notice. People make fun of them for staring at the camera. It is obvious if you suddenly feel creeped out by a camera.
this is pretty standard procedure in any competitive sport tho, they get the chance to celebrate and actually know when they’re on screen
This is more a thing of the players being awkward rather than the camera

I suppose a global, Asian/Oceania audience might not be familiar with Pancho Villa and, especially, Emiliano Zapata. Only 18% guessing Mexico when there are 4 options is still pretty wild.
At least Mexico came in second.

Where was the other (dutch?) commentator from last time that actually knew how to talk about the game? Rainbolt trolling pallo is fun but it gets a bit stale. Crazy that a commentator doesn't even have a basic knowledge of the game he's paid to talk about.

He's Danish. But I absolutely agree, loved his cast alot, it feels like Rainbolt is so over Pala.
that guy constantly pretended to be in on the game, which he obviously was not. i found that way more annoying than pala, who doesn't pretend to be anything other than astounded by the guesses
Pala's rambling, shouting and overall ignorance about the gameplay is annoying and ruining the stream. Maybe place him somewhere else in the future?

He doesn't have a clue what's going on most of the time and his reactions and intonation are completely out of sync with the gameplay.
Honestly, I have to be more critical of Rainbolt compared to Pala. Pala is learning, slowly yes, but he's actually improving, getting some quick calls on the countries from time to time. Rainbolt could do a better job explaining real metas to new viewers, instead he's kind of just speaking to the top 1-2 % of players, and shaming Pala for incorrect guesses.
Pala thinking it could be game over in round 1 when that is mathematically impossible was his worst moment (at 4:38:30).
The lead commentator is so unlikeable.

Hard to take this game serious when half the time the Google car itself gives away the location. They should implement a mod that removes all evidence of the cars. It dilutes the accuracy of the players cause they all know which car is where in the world. Its really stupid.
