Such a heartwarming tale. I let Karlach take on the illithid form. My reasoning is simple. I couldn't bear to let her burn to ash. Thank you for sharing this, I'm going through another play through, I'm just at the beginning, so I'm definitely going for this ending. This is the ending I would have preferred when the game came out.
Shadowheart was my go-to for whenever I had a "what's the right thing to do here?" moment. After seeing her choose both to save Aylin and sacrifice her well-being for her parents' sake, I realized she really did have the best sense of right and wrong, once she got over being brainwashed. Any time I wasn't sure what the truly "good" choice was, I'd look to her. Truly great storytelling by Larian.
Shadowheart does not have a cut marriage proposal - this is a mod. The dialogue “What more could I need. If I had all that, and you… Yes, I want to share everything that lies ahead of me with you.” Is taken from the conversion where she discusses her future plans with a romanced Tav, though I think this line was cut. The dialogue “Must I.” Is taken from different dialogue when you talk to her as friends during the reunion party. The dialogue “Honstely, I’m still not used to being married… it’s almost a surprise… But a very pleasant surprise.” Is taken from a conversion you can have in the reunion party in a multiplayer game if she’s romanced to a different player who is Grand Duke Wyll. This particular part cuts out the line where she says it’s a pleasant surprise waking up next to Wyll every morning.
Yes, you're right, this isn't cut content. I took a portion of what she says from her dialog in act 3 about her future in a rural cottage with Tav. Actually, I am going to improve that, I think I could do better, remove that "eh?" and let Tav to show more emotions. The second part is an edit of what she says in the epilogue when Tav didn't romance her and went to Avernus with Karlach (?), and Wyll became an arhcduke - in that ending, Wyll and Shadowheart are married.

Your character looks like Asterion and Aylin had a child then sent it into the past to save them in the future. Which, admittedly, is a pretty cool sub-plot.
While I like this, it's not as wholesome as marrying Gale. Bonus that Tara feels left out, and you can actually comfort her saying "How about you come over for tea next weekend" and she's very happy about that.
I am so annoyed I googled hell out of it and everyone said let parents go so they can be with salune and always be with her and its for best now I read this and the parents must be saved... ugggg back to resave and do a bunch of stuff over!
Is this "new" cut content in oatch 7 or has this been in for longer? If this is "new" cut content maybe it will come in in a later patch. There are some interactions in patch 7 that have been previously disabled (e.g. Minthara reacting to being knocked out was already in patch 6, but was only enabled in patch 7. And it's exactly the same scene.)
This video is misleading it is not a cut content. This is a dialogue from multiplayer version of Shadowheart if she was romanced by a player character and she says to another player that is it new to her being married. If you play as a player that romances Shadowheart it is heavily implied as is that you are getting married, with the words “What more could I need. If I had all that, and you… Yes, I want to share everything that lies ahead of me with you.” She asks you to live together. That is essentially a agreements to a proposal you are making when you tell her you want to be with her after final battle.
Does anyone know what the heart necklace she's wearing is? I have one incredibly similar that my partner gave me and I neeeeeed it in my game! Even if it's a mod, I'll download it!
I dont get it why people are obsessed of marrying her in game. Shes a cleric. She can marry you both anytime. She said she wants to be with Tav now and always. Its her side of proposal.
Even though Shadowheart herself seems happier and better off if her parents live, I still think it is better for shadowheart in the long run if she is instead free from the mark.
@@VoFALT I agree having parents and a husband and a cottage with animal friends is a fantastic life… but having a vengeful god literally have a permanent tether to you… that’s asking for a tragic end. If her parents die she is at least completely free of Shar directly.
@@brandanpalmer Again, nonsense. What makes you think it's permanent? All it does is give her a pain every now and again. It has no bearing over her soul whatsoever (her writer confirmed this in a livestream), so when Shadowheart passes on, she will go to Selune's realm where her parents will also dwell and they will never be lost again. This is a happy ending. Compared to the sharp, but very brief and infrequent pains that mark brings, losing your family, even if you'll see them again in the afterlife, is far worse and I would question the sanity of anyone who says otherwise.
@@brandanpalmer Sure, Shar is spiteful, but again, the mark doesn't have any bearing on her soul. So the mark is therefore not permanent. Shadowheart is more than strong enough to bear it and still live happily with her family and lover/spouse. Better not to forsake family imo.
Lmao yeah, I can see where you're coming from. It's pretty sad, actually. I wish we could propose to every companion, but I guess you can't have it all. In my headcanon it happened later off-screen and they (Tav and Karlach) love each other even without such formalities.
If this were by Bethesda (obviously it’s not because it’s actually a good game) every single bit of content that came out post launch would have cost money. Would even be charging everyone for all the mods.
I didn’t realize it was possible to keep Shadowheart’s parents alive AND have her worship Selune instead (again?) is this newer? I haven’t played in awhile (at least 4 patches have been released since I played last) and when I played you could “free” her parents by killing them so they wouldn’t be tortured by Shar anymore and they’d become little moon spirits.
@@anonimos5533 It's not according to the game logic. If you're not interfering with her choices, if SH is on Selune path with too many Nightsong points by default she frees them from Shar instead of saving them. Probably what devs wanted to say with this is it's either following parents wishes and realizing her destiny of becoming a powerful Selunite cleric, or denying them their wishes and failing that destiny to retire her early to take care of her ailing parents. Neither choice is better, both have downsides.
@@Alex-gl2dwNo, that isn't their logic at all. There are specific dialogue encounters in act 3 that if you get all three, Shadowheart defaults to saving her parents and keeping the mark. But they are super easy to miss and one of them is glitched and so most people never encounter it. And I'm sorry, but trying to frame sacrificing yourself by bearing pain to rescue your family and save their lives as a failure is just insane to me. And killing them is not following their wishes. Their actual wishes are to have their daughter back. But they've been trapped for so long they can't even begin to comprehend a reality where they have a life outside of imprisonment, pain, and misery for so long and are suicidal as a result.
@@VoFALT It's impossible to trigger the final memory if she has 4 Nightsong points. It's not glitched, it's been well researched and datamined for a while. Devs logic perhaps being she's too far gone on Selune path and would rather obey her parents, free their souls to Selune and become a true Selunite cleric. And don't try assuming what's not there in the game. Her parents literally beg her to free all three of them from Shar and only cave in when SH starts insisting she wants to have a family. They can't deny her then, even if it means SH would be living in pain for the rest of their lives as they're still connected to SH's mark until they die, as was mentioned by Aelyn. But no good parent would want their child to continue suffering if they can help it and hers were good parents.
@@Alex-gl2dw it literally is a glitch, stop capping. No good parent would deny their child their family. A suicidal one who is not in a good state of mind would. There is no good argument that can be made to justify that granting that request. I'm sorry, but your insistence on pushing the unconscionable delusion that depriving Shadowheart of the family she needs and undeniably deserves and that induldging her parents' suicidal request is in any way the right decision, is repugnant to me. It isn't, it's despicable. If that's the way you want to play your game, fine, but there is no good argument you can make that will change the underlying truth that family and love is favorable over not having sharp pains every now and again.
Damn I wish this was in the game. She also looks so much happier here, I always let her make her own choice and she never saves her parents, she's always got this melancholic vibe about her after that as opposed to when you do save them which she's never done in my runs and I don't believe in making choices for characters either except with Gale because I am not letting that guy turn into a divine prick, absolutely not.
the triggers for her to save her parents by choice are bugged, if you alienate shadowheart to selune's side with 4 or more nightsong points she will not unlock the third memory in act 3 and thus will not save her parents if the player is present, but if you stay in the mirror of the loss and enter into the dialogue of the parents only with shadowheart she will save them alone
It's not cut content, it's just extremely rare because it's locked into a very specific scenario that almost no one has ever seen. This mod changes that.
I'm curious if there are any changes with the owlbear, if you do this ending. Technically the owlbear will be staying with you and shadowheart. I'd hope they'd change what's said when you talk to shadowheart again.

While I like this, it's not as wholesome as marrying Gale. Bonus that Tara feels left out, and you can actually comfort her saying "How about you come over for tea next weekend" and she's very happy about that.
Shadowbae ❤
I am so annoyed I googled hell out of it and everyone said let parents go so they can be with salune and always be with her and its for best now I read this and the parents must be saved... ugggg back to resave and do a bunch of stuff over!
Last one appears in the game after patch 7.
That is one dashing drow 👀
Is this actually removed content? I checked the nexus page posts and the creator said they're only repurposing current dialogue lines
BEST GIRL
Does anyone know what the heart necklace she's wearing is? I have one incredibly similar that my partner gave me and I neeeeeed it in my game! Even if it's a mod, I'll download it!
I dont get it why people are obsessed of marrying her in game. Shes a cleric. She can marry you both anytime. She said she wants to be with Tav now and always. Its her side of proposal.
Shhh let us have a good thing
Great. Now I have to play the game again again 😂
Even though Shadowheart herself seems happier and better off if her parents live, I still think it is better for shadowheart in the long run if she is instead free from the mark.
Nonsense. That's a sorry life.
@@VoFALT its shar...
@@brandanpalmer Sure, Shar is spiteful, but again, the mark doesn't have any bearing on her soul. So the mark is therefore not permanent. Shadowheart is more than strong enough to bear it and still live happily with her family and lover/spouse. Better not to forsake family imo.
Im not trying to be a hater. But the more i see the options for a good shadowheart ending , the more upset I am for
Karlach
Lmao yeah, I can see where you're coming from. It's pretty sad, actually. I wish we could propose to every companion, but I guess you can't have it all. In my headcanon it happened later off-screen and they (Tav and Karlach) love each other even without such formalities.
Yeah karlach gets done dirty
If this were by Bethesda (obviously it’s not because it’s actually a good game) every single bit of content that came out post launch would have cost money. Would even be charging everyone for all the mods.
LETS FKING GOOO!
Is that crowns of nature ❤ or newer crown mod ❤ also this ending is super adorable ❤
I need to know, what outfit mods do you use?
What mods do you use for the outfit please
Can we just talk about the outfits she is wearing. Please share where you got them!!!
I didn’t realize it was possible to keep Shadowheart’s parents alive AND have her worship Selune instead (again?) is this newer? I haven’t played in awhile (at least 4 patches have been released since I played last) and when I played you could “free” her parents by killing them so they wouldn’t be tortured by Shar anymore and they’d become little moon spirits.
saving her parents is the true good ending, even in the evil path shadowheart gets selune's forgiveness by doing this
@@anonimos5533 It's not according to the game logic.
Please, tell me what mod do you use for Shadowheart necklace?
Awww... cute.
No idea why they cut this
God damn, can yall add new quest or something?
Please larian add this back in omg
It's not cut content, it's just extremely rare because it's locked into a very specific scenario that almost no one has ever seen. This mod changes that.
This isn't cut content, this is my mod. I crafted those lines from what she says in other scenes.
I'm curious if there are any changes with the owlbear, if you do this ending. Technically the owlbear will be staying with you and shadowheart. I'd hope they'd change what's said when you talk to shadowheart again.
What's the clothing that Shadowheart is wearing in the epilogue?
"alright this time I'm finally letting her kill the damned Nightsong... and there's a vid of a new dialogue, guess Halsin was mad at me for nothing"
Don’t Know What to do with my Dexter Morgan Playthrough, I made him for the new evil endings & he’s at the beginning of act 3; I have enough good playthroughs but never with Shadowheart and idk how I feel about leaving her as one of the last beings in existence that will eventually die by his hands or the one of the First.
It’s either Totally evil or a good ending, no way will I allow him to have the ending where he’s a mindless monster pissing himself, If he accepts Bhaal then he’s going to go through with it, but there’s still a small chance and a sliver of humanity in his character that wants to reject Bhaal; Once a commitment is made to good or evil than that’s it.
Can someone potentially explain to me, was this cut dialog from base full release? And was this cut recently in patch 7?
Does anyone know the name of the song that’s playing? It’s a nice tune
My TAV wants to marry with Karlach
You can Always do It with Shar Shadowhearts After you saved her parents ?
Simply Incredible. But we need more, a classic style with ring and kneel. Like in SWTOR, but they too forget about rings
The outfit what is it
Is it just me, or does Tav look like Ryan Gosling here?
