    I usually HATE looking for instructional videos because I need to sort through 15 bad ones to find a good one. Not only did I watch this entire thing, but I REWATCHED quite a few parts. Very well done--I'm loving my Osmo even more now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

      Thanks Emily. I think that is the joy of youtube. I know long videos can (and do) put people off but if there content is useful at least you get to come back to it in the places you find helpful. Thanks for the feedback. Hope you enjoy the Osmo Mobile 2!

    Tried watching other SHORT videos on the DJI OSMO 2 , but they left me with many questions, and still unable to properly use and know the main functions. Finally bit the bullet, and sat down with my pad of paper and watched your much longer video. I shouldn't have even wasted my time on the shorter videos...they were a waste of my time. Your video is what I needed and what helped me. Thank you

    I used mine last night for the first time and one thing I really like is the texture of the handle! Contrary to comments made on your video, the handle, with its rougher texture, makes it easier to hold for extended periods of time. I would have preferred a slightly more aggressive texture but this works just fine.
    As far as your video, it is more like an instruction manual and I like it for that reason. I especially liked your explanations of its functions. I shoot most of my video with my DSLR and this mount has opened a whole new world. Thanks!

    I cannot thank you enough for explaining the features and functions. I am a real estate broker in Southwest Florida and I have started doing more and more videos and my videographer has told me I have to learn how to do more videos by myself which will only help our overall goal. He recommended I buy the Osmo 2 (I had a stedicam once and didn't like it) and learn it. I bought it and struggled using it. Hours and Hours of reading about how to use it vs. watching a video and having it explained to me made all the difference in the world. Wow. I know how to use this now, unbelievable, I honest cannot thank you enough for taking the time to do this video. Thank you so much..great job!!

      Thanks for the feedback Mike. Really glad I was able to help you get the best out of the Osmo Mobile 2! Bit of practice and a few youtube vids go a lot further than a rubbish instruction manual these days I find :)

    I am a novice and have just purchased the Mobile 2. Thank you very much for all the detail and the carefully thought out “unpicking” of the many facilities the Mobile 2 offers. very easy to follow. clear and a great help I am sure to many users. Thank you.
    When you switch on the device the white battery staus lights go off in the video but with mine they stay onalong with the green power light so I am continually aware of the battery status,nothing to worry about I am sure.
    Thanks again

    Cannot thank you enough. Got a bit of disability going in my old age, and a noob, no doubt, but love playing with tech things. This video is very helpful, as I was struggling with my new DJI. Will revisit from time to time to refresh.

    This is the best DJI Osmo Mobile 2 video out there. I own one and note that the manual is very deficient on detail. As this is my first gimbal, I have a lot to learn. Up until you posted this, I couldn't find anything helpful on the small operational details. While it's long, that's the best part of this video. There are lots of short videos that hit the same 3 or 4 points that everyone discusses. I didn't need another short video. I needed an educational video - which this is. The short videos aren't helpful if you are a novice looking for a how to video or if you want to do a detailed analysis before buying one. Anyways... great work. Thanks for this and thanks for putting the effort into a great video. Time for me to hit the subscribe button.

      Hi Gary - Really appreciate your kind words and feedback and most importantly I am really glad my video was what you were looking for. Its the reason I tend to do longer detailed videos. Short and sweet is great for a 'taster' of a product but if you are looking to spend your hard earned cash I for one want to know everything about it (good and bad).
      I think the key for my content might be doing a short review as well as a detailed video. If nothing else it gives people the option.
      Anyway I hope you have lots of fun with the Osmo Mobile 2! Thanks again.

    • @x3bwb
      @x3bwb 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would like to echo Gary's and all positive comments....one thing I look for on a
      review is clear English at good pace without the typical US euphemism.....congratulations a well constructed piece.

    • @chai.bula1
      @chai.bula1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ditto to that. Not only that I am a late comer, I'm totally new to gimbal. Even with the new pocket model coming out, after a serious study into pros and cons of several gimbals within the same range, I finally opted for this over Smooth 4, because of their Android app and tracking mode.
      This is by far the best coverage clip around anywhere! However, since it covers just about everything, I would love to see them sorted out into a list of clips for each topic, so I could go back and find what I'm looking for. Thank you so much for such intuitive review!

    Excellent review. Loved every second of it. Received this OSMO for my birthday. I was so annoyed with the supplied instructions to say the least. Your review is bang on and gives me, a novice some understanding and confidence to get to grips with it and make some decent videos.
    Thank you

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! Got the Mobile 2 for Christmas. Watched a couple of short youtube vids on it. Learned enough to know the basics. I am pretty intuitive about these things and have been able to get some good footage out of it, BUT! Until I saw your video, in all it's detail, didn't realize it's full potential til now. This is also my first hand held gimbal and after taking videos (family, home) for 20+ years, wished I would have had this back when I started.

    D3WEY GUY. Recently got on your case about the length/detail of this tutorial/review. Now I really need to eat my words, because you are the only one I have found who has done a decent treatment of the functions of the DJI GO app. Seriously, thanks for that.

    • @d3weyTube
      @d3weyTube  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dan. Be assured i didn't feel you got on my case :). Honest feedback is really helpful to me and at the time, its what you felt which is handy for me to hear. Very pleased you managed to get the best out of the video in the end... the devil i in the details as they say.
      As i've said to others in here i think I should maybe do seperate videos on future products. Maybe short 10 min review, a detailed review looking at competition and version history and then some tutorial(s). Only reason i don't do that now is time if i'm honest.
      Either way thanks again for posting.

    I haven’t gone through all of the comments yet, but one thing I’d like to mention is that although you balanced the phone horizontally, you didn’t balance it vertically. The phone clamp slides up and down to accommodate this. It’s quite an important adjustment, as it will put more strain on the up/down motor if it’s out of adjustment, and consequently drain the battery quicker.

    I've never used a gimble before and had no idea what do to with it (an awesome present I got for Christmas). The user manual is not fit for toilet paper so I'm very glad I came across your video tutorial as it helped me to get started and hopefully get the best out of my new toy. I love the way you break down the information and then show us how it all comes together and looks at the end of the tutorial. Well done!

    This is the best review I've come across and has helped me get nearer to a decision. This is exactly what I needed after seeing a whole plethora of scratch-the -surface "this is crap but this is great " reviews where some made you wonder if there was a bias in evidence to or away from the product. Great stuff Dewey.

    • @d3weyTube
      @d3weyTube  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the positive comments there Steve. I know DJI send their kit pre-release to a lot of TH-camrs. Many are impartial and can probably be trusted in what they say but for me 10 mins or less isn't enough time to even scratch the surface of whether something like this is going to be any good in the long term. Likewise many of the short videos from people sent it free are not really using the kit for more than a few hours.
      I'll try and keep'em coming. Zhiyun-Smooth4 review up next.

    Loved the video, It was extremely detailed yet very easy to understand. A lot of reviews out there assume that people already know about the basics. So thanks for your help. Look forward to the next one DW from Ryans Way

    inverting pan stick can be used if you put a gopro camera in it, in order to operate you need to keep the gimbal "inverted", with the buttons facing the action.

    Its decent. Got it on accident. Meant to order the osmo 3 but got the 2 on accident. Motors seem a little slow but for the price you can't beat it. Gonna wait for the 4 to upgrade.

    27:39 I've discovered with pitch lock on that you can still use the joystick to tilt the camera down, up, left or right. If you tilt (pitch) down with the joystick, it locks on to that pitch. If you tilt (pitch) back up, it locks on to that pitch.

    Have been playing more, and finding this pretty enjoyable. It does have a funny habit, on my iPhone 7Plus, of making the first video I shoot a blank, which is very annoying. So now I just shoot a quick 60 second ordinary at the start. I am very used to camera time lapses, with an exposure of maybe 3 or 4 seconds for each shot. I had to throw all those time and mathematics ideas away, and just use the inbuilt calculator in the app, which is awesome.
