The Mark5 7" is a smaller, lighter drone without the space for as large of battery but will still fly mich longer and faster than a 5" This is great for chasing fast things and some nice 7" freestyle flights.
Complete newbie here, looking at buying a RadioMaster boxer 2.4 radio. I just don't know which one to get? 4 + 1 ? ELRS? I don't know the difference in them. Thanks for any help y'all can give me I appreciate it.
The 4in1 has an internal module used for older receivers like flysky, frsky, etc. Elrs is a newer protocol that most pilots use now, it's cheaper, gives longer range, but a bit more complicated to use. I would definitely go with the Elrs unless you already have another receiver.
They are different radio protocols of the Radio transmitter can have. It must be the same as protocol that the quadcopter uses. Almost all new quads come with ELRS so that should be your first choice as a new pilot. Just make sure you buy/have a quadcopter that also have ERLS.

Dji are the best for that type of quad. You could make a start into fpv with a Radiomaster Pocket and a Happymodel Mobula6 though. You can use the controller for an FPV SIM like velocidrone or liftoff, and you can fly your quad indoors during bad weather.
Wrong channel for computer controlled drones....this channel is for hi barrier/self mental abuse drones. Drones in which you tell it to go up, and it does......you tell it to go down, 💥💥💥 Son Of A BI**H!!!. Those Kind of drones.
