- Hi! I’m Christine! After working for many years in sales and business ownership, I felt major burnout. I sold my houses, extra cars, and most of my belongings. Now I'm happier than ever having very few material things. I travel living out of my vehicle. I roam the USA looking for adventure, food, and fun! I'm never sure what the future holds. Join the adventure and find out with me!
In this video, I start out my tour of the city that likes to keep things weird by browsing through a unique and eclectic store of uncommon objects.
I stroll through a beautiful garden estate full of gorgeous peacocks.
I watch the sunrise at the highest point in Austin at Mount Bonnell.
I chow down on some delicious Tex-Mex food. I find lots of cool things to see downtown and I witness the largest urban bat colony in North America take flight at dusk!
Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate your time to like, subscribe, turn on notifications, and leave me a comment, as it really helps support the channel! 💛🙏🏼

How creative. You sound like a marketing and promotion expert. My cat likes the sound of peacocks. I think he hears "dinner." What a wonderful life. I love going on your adventures with you.
I live in a Village in the U.K. and we have lots of peacocks roaming around, they’re beautiful 🦚 ❤❤❤

Thank you for taking us along on your adventures in Austin, Texas. My late husband went to UT in Austin for a few years before moving on to OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma for a MS in Civil Engineering. We visited Austin dozens of times over the years, with and without our children, and he never took me to those places. It just goes to show there is still a lot for me to explore in Austin and the rest of Texas. I still have a lot of family all over Texas and even though I was born and reared in 3 different areas of the state I adopted Kansas City, Missouri as my hometown, because once I left Texas, it just continued to change at a really fast rate to the point that it is totally unrecognizable from were and how I grew up... Thank you for showing, that Austin is worth a revisit. Thank you again for taking us along on your journey.
You are smokin’ and rocking it, Christine! Wonder if Austin House Antiques is still there, think it was on S. Lamar, I don’t know what corner of my brain this came out of after all of these years. Lived at Bergstrom AFB by the golf course, landed my first couple flights there then quit. I hear my old workplace at the HQ is now the Austin airport Hilton, or something like that. Thanks for the memories. I remember Antone’s, getting ceviche around there and thinking it was cool (haven’t I really changed), and seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan at Austin City Limits. Just looking at you enjoying that awesome food, I must say I am completely dumbfounded, ecstatic about your awesome choices. Remembering peacocks but someplace else. Chase would have liked those peacocks. Hoping one day you’ll do Portugal. Kind regards, thanks for an awesome video stay safe, saw the body of water, I don’t blame you.
I wish your videos were longer.
me too i miss the longer ones
Another spectacular video Christine ❤. You are truly a professional. Nailed it on the peacock call, LoL
Thank you so much!
Now you have me saying “Oh my word” lol🥰‼️❤️👍
😆
Another fantastic video. Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it
Texas is so big looks like you’ll be there for awhile 😂. I’m in Boston tonight. Be safe girl. Glad you’re doing well and seeing a lot of neat things. I’ve seen the bat under the bridges there. Take care.
Thanks for watching! 😃
You have the best travel vlog on TH-cam.
Glad you think so!
Thanks for another excellent video.
So nice of you
I love birria tacos!!! So delicious!
what a cute photo of Chase 🤗🤗 Was he wearing a necklace or do I need glasses?
Yes he was! 🐶
The birria tacos are the best! ❤
Yum!
❤
Peacock is the Indian national bird. I saw these warm climate birds on a homstead as pets in Michigan (Commerce area if you ever get to visit your home town and explore the hand state itself) I know Chicago is said to have great food but I lived there for 5 years and Michigan cultural food was much better! But for sure AZ and TX have the best Mexican and fusion Mexican food. BBQ in TX is also very good. We lived on a big property in MI for many years and I had several bat houses in the woods in our backyard. I hardly ever used anything other than releasing ladybugs and keep those bats to keep insects in check. TFS. Miss your baby boy Chase. But he is with you I am sure watching with love as he always did.
I got my PhD from UT. The best garden was along the highway on the way to that peacock garden. In spring, as in your video, highways are lined with Blue Bonnets and Indian Paintbrushes.

That’s cool! 😎
I think archaeologists looking for Cleopatra's tomb might find it in "Uncommon Objects." 😇😇😇
😆
Pinch punch first day of the month🤏
What do they do with the piles of guano underneath that bridge? I hope they can compost it…
Where is your next destination? Would you visit Oklahoma?
Austin has one huge negative: constant traffic snarls.
Hi Christine! I was wondering where you got your mattress. I am looking for a good quality one for SUV camping
This is the exact one. It's currently not available but it will give you the specs. I have been very happy with it! www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1JK8H5H?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzchr053ab-20&creativeASIN=B0B1JK8H5H&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.36HPZ55WQGTDQ&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin
Did you go to the museum of weird in Austin?
I tried to reply part of the "Name of the Tacos." Replayed 4x, still couldn't understand.. Maybe someone can help.
Have a Mexican Grocery w/ over 50 meals only 3 miles away near Bradenton, FL.
I pick up delivery orders there often. Been wanting to try something different, one of their Meals for months. All meals displayed in images above/along deli Cases of prepared food, but no names/descriptions.
For 3 months, about every other week, I've asked if they have a To Go Menu in English. Struck out every time.
I think they are birria tacos.
@@adrienne41 Thank you!

I'm curious how you produce these amazing videos on your own. Once you exceed 100,000 subscribers, maybe you can turn this into a course and sell it on UDEMY.💥💫👍
