Hi. I appreciate this is an old review. Wondering if you would do a comparison of the different brands of 14inch bandsaws. You guys are only ones out there that do full comparison of numerous types of tools. Really appreciate the reviews and hope you would do one for bandsaws and some larger shop tools as there is none out there on comparison and proper testing. Thanks again for the time and effort you put in

i had a grizzly, and that jet looks like the exact same thing with a different name.
one manufacturer that builds them all, except for a few different features each brand name customer wants on them.
guides, lights, color, etc etc. still a good quality product. i liked the grizzy, and obviously the jet is the same good quality.
althoug, the grizzly was cast iron, are you positive that the main frame is steel? just curious.

What's the difference between closed and open besides the obvious? I'm new to tools and ready to buy.

Decent review. What would be a good used price for one of these? With new tires, and 2 new blades up to 3/4" and a wheeled base?

Is this one of the models that can take a 6" riser block for more resaw capacity? I would like to see how well that works on it.

You shouldn't have a bandsaw plugged in while the doors are open on it.

I have have a JWBS. Not a tool for serious wood workers. I've kept mine around because I am not a serious wood worker. Just another cheap flimsy Asian tool.
