Gotta be honest. I don't see Dave's FB career getting any traction. Those 2 camera looks were very different? That shooting space is awesome! So much character. Music vids, vintage War docs, kidnapping scene...
I think Dave will be an excellent running backwards... but he has an excellent career as a talented filmmaker so i'll give him that! As for the difference in look... I didn't have the second adapter at the time of filming to use another FD lens so I had to substitute with a G master 35 and pro-mist and not another glimmer glass. I just got the second adapter so the look should be much similar for when I'm actually shooting the interviews. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the breakdown! I'm trying to streamline my travel gear as well. I was wondering what light stands and boom arm you had for the hairlight. Seems portable and lightweight. I've resorted to carrying one gobo arm and knuckle, but looking for alternatives their might be to cut down on weight! Also for the hairlight, you should grab a grid for it! I pretty much always have a grid on my hairlights to help with flares and spilling.
Totally! Grids are in the queue but for now cinefoil is doing the trick! What are you running for a travel kit? Light stands are fairly cheap Cameron stands, neewer knuckle and a neewer arm that has a 1/420 on one end and a 3/8 on the other so I don’t need another knuckle to hold the lights! They just thread right on the end of the arm! Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Cool, great idea of what to bring if the need ever comes for it.
Cool stuff Josh! Thanks and good luck this season!

Love the vintage Lens with the bloom mist on it ❤ probably for this controlled situation it is easier to use a full manual lens 😏 cool setup man
Totally agree! The glimmerglass is a new find for me and loving them. Gives the softening effect without the crazy bloom of a pro mist. Super subtle
