    hello from London, set in Milan. I have been teaching for many years as a native teacher and needed to refresh some tips on cracking the cae exam for a late entry student. I found the video on topic and good tips, quick, refreshers and to the point, intead of millions of pubblicity and bla bla like many, that at the end of the tutorial publicize themselves to pay pages and the content is practically zero. So i thank you very much and i will publicize you. have a good summer.

    Thank you for taking your time producing videos to help us in our tests. I have one question regarding reviews in CAE: is it allowed to use real-world products and company names? For instance, if I'm asked to write a review about food products, can I write about Kellogs or Nestlé's products?

    If you were to write a review about a book, and you’re not sure what the original title/author was, is it fine to use a alternative title (and maybe even any name for the author)? Or is it the intention to give the actual title of the book?

    • @teacherphill
      @teacherphill  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can invent a book if you want. The examiner definitely won't check if it really exists or not.

    I don't agree with you, some phrasal verbs still exist in formal writings, they are way more common than you think!

    • @teacherphill
      @teacherphill  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A few phrasal verbs do exist in formal writing, you are perfectly right, but the majority of phrasal verbs are informal. That's why I recommend avoiding them in formal writing. If you feel comfortable enough, go ahead and use the ones that might be OK. I just relay the advice given by Cambridge English Assessment, the organisation that organises the exam. :)
