Great interview and really glad to know about the documentary that is ready to come out. A lot of things that Simon said about George are quite interessting, like the revelation that George never wrote down his lyrics, it was all in his head/memory. He was a genius and we all miss him a lot. Thank you very much for this video. Cheers!
Prince did the same with his record company, Warner Bros in the early 90s, he wanted out of his contract and all his rights to his music he wrote and produced such as Purple Rain, they even owned his birth named Prince so he changed his name to a symbol, he wasn’t let out of contract, Prince wrote Slave on his face to make a statement about the music industry.
George Michael ended his business/manager relationship with Simon Napier Bell in the 1980s - for reasons easily found if you search online and not for a good reason. That he is making money off a documentary about GM is rather unseemly and I don't personally intend to watch it given what I know but I hope there isn't too much speculation from Napier Bell about GM given how that business relationship ended.
Isn't there anything new about GM's life , because every Documentary is pretty much the same . At least SNB, isn't trashing him like his own cousin has on many occasions . Jealousy 😢
I’d lean towards profiteering abides by no allegiances, now, then nor ever. Deepening billions by activating resurgence and airplay, might likely be entirely mortally bereft.
I have to disagree. George may have memorized his lyrics or come up with them on the fly but George has said in many interview that he did write his music down on paper and many songs he wrote that he didn’t like he threw them away, neve saved them to come back to.🤷🏻♀️
There are obvious errs by corporate disingenuous answers. Numerous deviance of to dispel perfunctory unknowns. Opportunist Aussie by diverging from format, ruined GM’s interview to be the outer of GM. Might’ve been the ruination of one’s trusts. As opportunist, ask why he’d become an ex? Non devotional precept, devoid of nonoccupational concerns. Untrustworthy ambiance, the deflection of questions causing perplexity, while utilizing reminiscence of published knowledge. Grandeur in caring, nor of GM’s trust, does not reside within this pretense, a sad contrived rarity, misrepresented.

George talent remains legendary. Taking Sony to court was epic.
