Correct, and at highway speeds currently I am getting about 25 degrees above ambient outside temperature. I believe the thermostat in this car is 185 degrees, but that’s for coolant, not intake air temp.
@@kristofvanbecelaere4231 Good question, mostly personal preference. I've seen the formed pipes that go over the radiator and pull from in front of the radiator, I understand the fuction but am not a fan of the look of it. Also, i'm pretty sure they're designed for the NA miata. I didn't mean to start chasing after cooler air temps, but here I am. 😅 I have one last mod for this then i'm moving on to fixate on something else 😁

I have a question, in your video you are wanting temps to be 20° above ambient. But with a 140° thermostate, the operating temp will be 140°.

Why not lower the rad and go over it and mount the air filter in front of the rad?
